Re: convergence problem

Some mitsubishi sets have been famous for sparse solder around the convergence ICs. Try re-soldering the huge ICs attached to the big heat sink. This will no doubt cure your problem. f not let me know

I have a Mtsubishi ws-65315... I hit the menu and input and after 6 seconds, it blinks twice, then pauses for a second, blinks twice again, another pause, and does this 4 or 5 times... Can anyone help me...

Most likely convergence circuit is out. Two convergence amps have to be replaced as well as some PICO fuses that already open. I would strongly recommend to let professional do this repair, without experience you can damage TV and make it unrepairable.
It should cost you around $300 to fix it at your home.

Problem with Mitsubishi WS-65315 65 in picture simply off the screen. too big for the screen so u cant see 15% of all picture. on any input source like cable, dvd, components.

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.

Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony,Samsung, JVC, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Akai, Pioneer, Hitachi, Zenith, and others. You can get a convergenece repair kit wiith instructions from the links below.

Mit. WS-65315

A 21 code in mitsubishi is indicating that the set is shutting down for Xray protection. Which means voltages are rising and triggering a shutdown for safety reasons. You will need to trouble shoot the Xray circuit to locate the problem.

The resistors will pick up the resistance from the circuits and give a false reading. You have to unsolder one leg of the resistor and pull that end out of the circuit then check it for resistance. If it doesnt register with one leg out of circuit that resiostor is bad and needs to be replaced.

Convergence problem

Those are the correct ICs for that model, Did you check the resistors located right next to the ICs for being open? usually one or two of the resistors will be open. you need to unsolder one side of the resistor and lift it out of circuit to accurately check wether its open or not. let me know if you need more assistance
