Wheel won't spin

I dropped my ipod and the wheel no longer works, but everything else does. A further note, when I dropped it, it split open, and I put everything back as it was. Any help?

Take it back apart and check to see if anything is cracked and in the correct spot.

Why does my 4 wheel drive not work all the time?

Elaine,

not work, do tell what makes you think it dont work (a lamp) or tires slipping or dead tires. (by tires mean that and traction)??????????

what mode fails, of the many, and where.???????

first off, we dont know what your tires are touching.

on road, or off road. pavement or ICE or snow.

that matters big time . (you read manual and match MODE to Road)

your lost operators guide explains all that, right?

eg: how and when to use, 4wd, its all there. I promise.

ControlTrac 4-wheel-drive system

here are the mode. which one , gives you problems.

quote ford with comments.

What are the modes, and how do they differ?

(note this is the operational behavior of a 2008 Ford Expedition. Newer and older Expeditions will vary only slightly)

2H 2-wheel-drive with high range gearing (1.00:1) Rear-wheel-drive capability,

2-wheel electronic traction control system is enabled

4A 4-wheel-drive Auto with high range gearing (1.00:1) Full-time all-wheel-drive capability, ((best on pavement or any time)

Electronically adjusted torque split to front & rear wheels, Electronically variable center differential,

Front driveshaft & rear primary driveshaft allowed rotational speed difference,

4-wheel electronic traction control system is enabled

4H 4-wheel-drive with high range gearing (1.00:1) Part-time 4-wheel-drive capability, (not for dry pavement EVER)

Continuous 50/50 torque split to front & rear wheels, Electronically locked center differential,

Front driveshaft & rear primary driveshaft mechanically locked with no rotational speed difference,

4-wheel electronic traction control system is enabled

4L 4-wheel-drive with low range gearing (2.64:1) Part-time 4-wheel-drive capability, (off road usage, mostly)

Continuous 50/50 torque split to front & rear wheels, Electronically locked center differential,

Front driveshaft & rear primary driveshaft mechanically locked with no rotational speed difference,

4-wheel electronic traction control system is enabled, ESC and RSC are disabled

In 4A mode the center differential is electronically-controlled and rear drive wheel bias. The on-board computer monitors for any sign of rear drive wheel slip (loss of traction)

If loss of traction is detected, the center differential is told to send a share of the engine\'s torque to the front drive wheels. It will not let the front driveshaft turn at the same speed as the rear driveshaft.

What about traction management?

1997-2002 model Ford Expeditions offered an optional limited-slip rear differential (LSD). A conventional open rear differential was standard along with the conventional open front differential and the electronic locking center differential.

comment with out LSD, one tire can spin, on say ice.

but the other 3 tires dont, in full time.

Light not working .how to fix

try all this and fix it. God bless you

Hold switch on

Before delving into the guts of your iPod, check to make sure the hold switch isn't activated. If the hold switch is on, the iPod will ignore any input on the click wheel and refuse to do anything. If your iPod's problem isn't so easily solved, read on.

Drained/bad battery

If your iPod won't turn on, especially if it has not been used recently, you may simply have a drained battery. Plug your iPod into your computer or AC adapter and see if anything happens. Ideally your iPod will recognize it has been connected to a power source and charge its battery. If it will no longer charge, the battery must be replaced.

Bad display

It is possible that it appears nothing is happening because the display is bad. If you hold the iPod up to your ear you should be able to hear the hard drive spinning. If the iPod sounds like it is working properly but nothing is visible, it is possible the display is bad and must be replaced

Bad logic board

If your iPod does nothing when plugged into a computer, the problem most likely lies in the logic board.

Bad click wheel connection

If the click wheel is not seated correctly, it is possible that the iPod will not boot. Be sure that the bar on the click wheel is completely flipped down to ensure a positive connection.

A few drops of fruit juice got under the volume wheel and dried. Now the volume wheel won't turn easily. How do I get the volume wheel off to clean underneath?

Electrical contactsupply cleaner is best. You canto try drops of rubbing alcohol, which will clean the wheel and evaporate quickly. While you add the drop/s, turn the wheel.

On my ipod Nano, the spin wheel does not respond when pressed or spun. Any thoughts?

Try resetting by holding down the Play button (in center of wheel) and the up button (directly above play button) until the "Apple" logo shows up. Then give it a minute and turn it on. If this is unsuccessful, then it could be a flaw in the manufacturing. Is this a new Nano or is it used? Have you dropped it or has it sustained and damage? iPods are fragile contrary to popular belief. A lot of times all it takes is to be dropped once for it not to work any more.

Did u have your wheel barrings checked. If not the do it your self its easy just jack the wheel from below the lower control arm. spin the wheel any where u like if u feel it runs roughf it could be the barring is off. or if not then check for a free play in the wheel by placing a lever below the wheel and lifting it slightly. But be careful not do drop the car on ur self..It would be better if u posted complete info about ur vehical type and made to make further notes on it tc be safe..

My ipod Nano wheel won't spin, turn, etc. it's is

Concrete is bad for iPods! It's broken. Google "iPod repairs" in your country and they might be able to replace it. Otherwise you can get an exchange unit from Apple. Take it to your nearest Authorised Apple Service Centre and they will get it exchanged in a couple of days. Unfortunately this might cost almost as much as a new one.

Front chain drops into lower gear without engaging and does not stay tight when coasting. it sags down.

It sounds like you'll need to readjust the gearing cable for the front gear guide and you'll probably need a new rear derailleur as it sounds like the spring for the derailleur is no longer applying tension on the chain

Wheel won't spin

Try holding the wheel down for ages. It might havepopped out of place. Or you could lever it out and raise it a bit. There might be something stuck in it that's clogging it up.
