I have a ba 745 speakers for my gateway. My husband moved it and just diconnected everything. I don't remember how to put it back together. I cannot find the pink and green inlet on the cpu to plug the...

Hello, the pink one is for connecting to a microphone outlet on the pc. The green one is for connecting to the line or audio out on the pc. In order to get sound on your speakers you can forget about the pink one for now. You may have your audio connectors on the front of your pc, so take a good look there (unless your husband remembers NOT unplugging anything from the front.) You want to plug your green speaker wire/connector either to a green socket or one marked "headphone" or "output" or "out". You mention in your 2nd to last sentence a green plug? Don't worry about the shade of green; if it's a green socket that looks like a your speakers will fit into, then that'll be it. Take a closer look at it for writing or a symbol. Make sure you push the jack plug firmly in; quite often it'll go in an extra quarter-inch and make the connection. If you're really stumped, if you can take a digital picture of the pc rear panel I may be able to point it out for you. I'll be on line for 2 more hours or so.

I installed my new speakers but can't get any sound. I have tried all usb ports and still no sound. What have I done wrong? I am not very good with PC problems.

Hi , your Speakers do not connect Via USB , They connect via a Green Input Jack on the PC...Try find that input aswell as the Green Color coded Cable from your Speakers and plug that in..
You should have perfect sound then..
Happy new year Bud ;)

Are these speakers adaptable with my Compaq Presario PC?

Hello my friend, with regards to your problem first we must check if your currentl audio device is compatible with your speakers. I mean you have a 5.1 speaker then let us check if your audio plugs is also a 5.1 channel in order to accomodate your speaker. else you can istall your speaker in to your currentl audio device but not all speakers were work cause it needs to have the same specs from your speaker to your audion device installed in your computer.you can only use the green, and blue then if you have mic the you could used the pink plugs but for your black plugs in your speaker it cannot be used.

My computer sound system

Most likely the sub has the crossover in it, most likely the 2 input cables from whatever device you want to play through the system will plug into the sub then the 2 speaker cables will come out of the sub and go to the speakers, just be sure to have everything connected into and out of the sub and make sure the power cords for the speakers and sub are plugged in, I am assuming this is a self powered system wich means the amplifiers are built into the speakers and sub.

Make sure that you got 12v 1.0 A adapter. Not .01 A. They have one at newegg.com atrix DVCPA1AA power adapter-12v 1.0 A. you should not need drivers for speakers. Make sure you got it pluged into right port if you got the adapter. Also make sure under control panel under sound that you got it setup for two speakers.

Compaq monitor speaker

If everything worked before you moved it, I would try checking the simple things 1st.
Make sure that the plug from the speakers is plugged into the correct hole in the back of your computer. Usually, the color of the plug for the speakers and the jack are GREEN.
If the power isn't coming on the speakers, then I would make sure that you have the correct power plug (If the speaker type that you have, has a removable power supply).

What you can to to test out the speakers, is plug the speakers into an IPOD or a MP3 player and test it out.
This will at least eliminate the possiblity that the speakers/wires/power supply are bad.

Hope this helps.
Good luck.

Make sure that you have the correct power supply for the speakers. If you are connecting them to a desktop, look for the light green 1/8 plug on the back of the computer. Again, make sure that you have the power supply that came with the speakers. Do not plug the power supply in until you connect the 1/8 plug from the speaker to the light green plug on the back of the computer.

Well, you have to : depending on the model of your Sound Card, I presume SBlive? or Audigy models, refer to the manual, but, you have too, depending on the speakers model, place the cables according (ussualy) for the colors. green , black, orange on the respective places. test as you move the cables.
