Question about Washing Machines

Hydrogenerated Ignition I am considering buying this water heater. The hydrogenerated ignition has me a little worried. Can you estimate for me how long this type of ignition has been in use? Also, do you think 4.3GPM is enough for two showers?

The Hydrogenerated ignition system (patented by Bosch) has been in use since 2003. Basically the running water goes through a small turbine to generate the spark needed to ignite the burners. No pilot, no external electrical source for ignition, saves energy.

Your second question doesn't have a simple answer. It depends on the incoming water temperature and the flow level for your showers. If you live in a cold weather climate, where pipes can freeze, probably not. If you live in a moderate climate and use low-flow shower heads, this will probably work for you.

Pilot does not ignite?

Look for the pattern of flashing lights when it fails after you turn the power off/on. Then look at the wiring diagram / instructions on the inside of the panel. The flah pattern should be listed. For example, two green flashes and pause, repeating may mean that the exhaust flow is not sufficient, or another flash pattern may indicate pilot is not lighting.

Likely ly a pressure switch is bad or exhaust is blocked.

Why is my water heater is not igniting on first time it take about 5 times before it light?

If you have a water heater with electronic ignition it is possible that you have a faulty flame sensor. If you can provide a little more information we could diagnose your problem further.

Smokey heater

Smokey, stinky torpedo heaters are often due to water in the tank. Ignition is from a standard spark plug.

no you do not, but it is a good idea to take the hydrogenerator apart and remove the waterwheel inside to protect it from damage(if you have anything that gets shot through the pump)
Connections are 1/2 inch.

I have a Bosch Model GWH 1600 H tankless water heater. I have had issues with it since I installed it 2 years ago or should say had it installed.Yesterday I could not get it to ignite or light manually. I...

Igniter can be ordered, but that may or may not be the issue.
Your tankless unit -and- plumbing system need total check-up by trained service technician.
Open following links for Bosch troubleshooting resources including contact Bosch, manuals, error codes, water flow etc.

Check electrical outlet with circuit analyzer to make sure polarity is correct.
Typically, gas water heaters, and especially tankless water heaters require yearly maintenance by service technician who can check the gas pressure and supply, venting, electrical connections, PC board, sensors, burner orifices and igniter parts are clean and positioned correctly, vent is draining correctly and not dripping back into combustion chamber, correct temperature is achievable, incoming water temperature is not too cold for temp setting, proper incoming air supply, adequate air supply, no chemicals stored in air supply pathway, filters are clean, plumbing check valves, mixing valves, pressure valves etc are permitting one-way flow of hot water, water is softened to less than 11 grains hardness, water is filtered and not dirty, aerators and other faucet parts are clean and support water flow necessary to activate burner.

Code 11

Before calling service technician, open following links for Rheem troubleshooting resources including error codes.
Error codes are considered start-point for troubleshooting.

Error 11 is no ignition.
This problem can probably be solved by routine yearly maintenance shown in instruction manual which recommends: Yearly cleaning, adjustment and inspection of burner and combustion parts.
The yearly maintenance would check incoming gas supply, venting, wiring and grounding, and burner and ignition parts.
All gas water heaters today require same maintenance: tankless require yearly, and tank-type require periodic (1-3 years)

Our Richmond Tankless is showing a reading of a C2 error code. How do we fix this. Why is it doing this?

Before calling service technician, open following link for Richmond/Rheem troubleshoot resources including Rheem chat.

Error codes are considered start place for troubleshooting.
C2 11 is 'No ignition' or 'Gas is inadequate' or 'Ignition failure'
Error C implies ignition rod

Have an G6A-8E Atwood water heater. It Starts fine and shuts down after a couple of seconds. I can see the diode in the control board continue to spark after ignition I replaced the igniter.

If it has the little thermal cut-off in power wire to thermostat (has a little plastic jacket over it) try removing it, and connect female spade from power wire, directly to male spade on thermostat, and see what happens. Also, make sure electrode is positioned in flame good for flame sensing properly.

Turn on water the electronic ignition not coming on

The tankless water heaters require larger gas supply lines because of the on-demand consumption. While I don't know your units rating, most Propane Tankless Waterheaters require 2" supply lines. Moreover, pressure is directly related to temperature which sounds like your problem entirely; consider the run of the gas pipe from the tank and the ambient temperature. Now you see why plumbing is a hard profession to fake... =)
