Master Reset?

A) Master Password:
Laptop is taken down to nearest authorized agent, (Dealer or Repair Shop), and a Master Password is asked for.

You need to bring;
1) Form of Identification
2) Receipt for purchase of laptop
3) Credit Card or Debit Card

Authorized agent contacts laptop manufacturer.

Once the laptop manufacturer checks out whether the laptop is stolen, or not, (By their records), and receiving copy of ID, copy of purchase receipt, and fee, they will grant a Master Password.

The authorized agent then uses the master password, and sets another password of your choice, or No password if you choose.
The master password is Not given out.

B) Master reset being, reset the laptop back to the way it was, Day 1 from the factory.

Use the Restoration Disk, (CD)
When asked perform a Full Install.
Also known as Destructive Installation.

ALL personal records stored will be Gone.
1) No photos,
2) No videos,
3) No personal documents you have created, or downloaded,
4) No programs you have physically installed, or downloaded.

NOTHING is saved past Day 1 from the factory.

C) Windows installation disk:

Use the same Windows operating system, (i.e., Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, etc), from a NEW genuine copy of Windows.

Go into the BIOS Setup (utility), and in Boot Options, set the first boot device to CDROM.

This way the laptop will boot from the Windows CD.

"Master reset is a term used to describe the process of restoring an electronic device's FACTORY settings."

Have no clue what MFP - 05333449 is.

The laptop Model Number, (Product Number for HP), is on the Bottom of the laptop. (Or Netbook)
[ For example HP has a white Service Tag on the bottom.
P/N = Product Number ]

Its lenovo 3000 G400/G410. and i am using windows vista ultimate , but my product key has missed ,its product ID is 89580-OEM-7332132-00031.please try to find the product key...

You can check if this product key that you have just mentioned is located at the back of your laptop. Determine if the Operating System is windows Vista which is stipulated at the back of it. If you have a windows Vista CD, check if it is for Ultimate. Then insert the CD and restart the pc. Then repeatedly press F12 to boot to CD. Select ODD or CD/DVD ROM option.

When installing the operating system, check if it prompts you to ask the product key, then it will activate your windows.

I tried to set a password on my Belkin router. But then lost internet connection. I disabled the password. Now one laptop is accessing the internet, and my iPhone. But my Sony Vaio will not access the...

If it a problem of the router password then you boot up the laptop and run IE. In the address windows type and press enter. You will be asked the admin ID and password. Enter that. Then only would you be allowed to change something. Once you have logged into your router then select Security->WEP Key. here you will get an option to see the password in clear. Select this option and the password for the internet connection will be available to you. No that you know the password. Boot up the Sony Vaio and when asked for password, use this password and start surfing.
