Re: Convection Heater Light on Knob HBH 5015

It is normal for small orange neon indicator lamps to blink or flicker when they're about to burn out. This should not be a problem unless you notice other electrical problems such as sparks or smoke.

Any easy test for electrical problems in your heater is to turn on an AM radio in the same room with the heater...and tune it to a clear station that you can hear clearly. If you hear steady crackling sounds or static in the radio while the heater is on, then the heater should be inspected for electrical problems.

is that switch reading 0 ohms?, if it is, the triac has failed on the circuit board, if it is open then replace the switch. you can order a new circuit board from the manufacturer. of course you've checked to see that 240 volts is getting to the heater.

This heater is a 2000 watt garrison convection wall mounted heater. the light is on but the heater does'nt heat up

The heater is disconnected or there is a damaged wire. You can try to open it up or bring it in. I would suggest bringing it in for repairs.

It sounds like the thermostat is loose and needs to be adjusted or replaced. Leave this to a professional if you don't know what you're doing. So many fires are caused by baseboard heaters.

Torpedo heater wont stay lit.

Do you have the serial number or the manufacture date? There are some design changes and I would need to know the year of manufacture to assist accurately. Usually it is a relay or the thermocouple connection that will affect the unit staying lit.

How do I wire up a F2544 baseboard heater with a single pole themostat

It sounds like you are not getting the correct voltage for the heating element. If you wired a single pole thermostat, and its a 220v unit, then it will not get hot enough, like you are saying. If its a 220 heater, you need a 2p2t thermostat. The parts supplier will know what this means.
