Replaced Gameboy advance SP Shell

I have replaced the gameboy advance sp shell. When I turn on the screen works and brings up the gameboy logo. But when I turn it off and insert game and turn back on. The screen just sits on the gameboy logo. The game does not load.

Have I damaged something on the inside? What am I doing wrong?

You might have accedentally shook things up or the insides are just about gone. the shell is just a look you need to get it repaired it sounds like

It is probably the game. You understand how few parts are in there to foul up. Congrats on replacing the shell! One of the more difficult things to do.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

My GBA SP turns on but wont go beyond the gqmeboy Logo !

Unfortunately there are no gameboys that have memory "built in", so they device you have is either an imitation gameboy or a gameboy loaded with "hacked / illegal" software. Unfortunately these are very flaky and are known to have issues. You may want to talk to whoever you purchased it from, but it is definitely not a regular gameboy.

No image on Gameboy Advance SP

It is possible to buy another Screen for the GBASP, however it would probably be less work and less trouble just to go to your local Gamestop and buy a new SP for 40 bucks.

You need to contact Nintendo to do that, or a game store to see if they do repairs. I don't advise you to do this at your own risk.

I've replaced shells on the phat ds and it was fairly easy. This doesn't look nearly as complicated. It should be quick and easy.
The only thing I would say is be sure that you are careful with the cables. Make sure you lock them in right. Also, sometimes with new cases if you are having problems getting the metal thing back into the hinges, it is helpful to get a small flathead screwdriver and carve off some of the plastic inside the hinge opening (be very careful). Sometimes there is excess plastic that makes the hole too small for the hinge to fit through and this ensures that you don't scratch up the outside of the case while trying to get the hinge back in.
