First, be aware that the flyback xformer can carry a 50,000 volt charge that can arc to anything grounded. Unless you are possitive the chasis is not hot, I'd forgo pulling it apart.

That said, if you turn the monitor on its face and remove the stand. You'll see two screws on the bottom corners of the monitor housing. Remove them. Next, turn the monitor upright with the screen facing you. you'll see two VERY small openings along the top edge of the monitor bezel. Insert a small flat-headed screw driver into each opening, and press gently down. You should hear the locking tabs release. DO NOT pry the case as you will damge it. With the screws out and tabs released, the case will easily break apart.

Where do I get monitoring software for my computer? I want to keep tabs of my 16 year old daughter online (My space). I know I am an over concerned parent, but she worries me a lot.

at 16 years old if you have not instilled values in her character by now it is too late
probably not your daughter but your over possessive attitude that is causing the problem and lack of demonstrated trust in your child

AL1916W (6 years old) "Auto Config Please Wait" wont go away. Menu doesn't respond. Left and right arrows dont respond. Same on another computer.

The PCB present in the front side of monitor is gone... open the screws from behind, and remove the front panel... Take the pcb along with the switch present in it... check for any physical damages.... if no then clean it with thinner or petrol using a old tooth brush... plug it back and connect all necessary wires... Now check by turning on.... still same problem then you need to replace that part alone with a new one... no other go....
You can also remove that entire unit and work with the computer, but you wont be able to adjust the settings in the monitor....

Black screen with pulsing flickers of light

More likely to be capacitors failure in the power supply, worst case will be the lamps. You need to open it up and inspect the caps first, look for cap with buliging top/seal, see example of failed VIEWSONIC monitors due to bad caps (903b may be the sam as 902b):
Post back what you find so we can guide you further.

I bought second hand monitor samsung syncmaster750s..when i plug it the icons become blurry and become large and i cannot set my resolution...i use the vga mode because when i start it au

Normally if you go in VGA mode the screen will be installed and when rebooting in normal mode it will set itself.
In VGA mode the resolution is 640x480 and you can't set the resolution higher, so what you are experiencing is normal.

From what you are saying it seems that the driver installed from windows is the wrong one, you can try to run windows update to see if there is a driver for it or go on samsung website.

You can get the driver from samsung here :
Samsung 750s driver

If after that it doesn't work check on the internet for compatibility issues with your graphic card, since some of the newer cards can have compatibility issues with the older CRT screens.

ON/OFF button on my Dell Monitor E176FPb is stuck

To open this monitor, it's from the front edges of a bezel. Laid it down screen face up and placed a piece of soft cloth on top of the screen to protect from smudged. Then with 2 hands using all 8 fingers lifted the edges of the bezel from the screen slowly with some force to it. Do the same on the other sides until it came loosed. If you happens to got some smudged on the screen just damped a soft cloth or paper towel with tap water and cleaned it. Have fun!

Same problem, and solution 1 given here fixed my Proview 900W. A few of the 470uF caps on the power board were oozing dielectric probably due to overheating. Hopefully the replacements will hang in there for a couple more years...
