Question about PC Desktops
My computer is an older LG model that only has one USB port and it is located in the back of the computer. I have been using it to run our DSL and flash storge disk with no problem Until I bought a 80 gb iPod. At first the iPod wouldn't work with the multi-port and one day I tried it again and it operated with no problem. But the next day it wouldn't work with that same port so I tried another one and it worked ok. but then it did the same thing. I've used every port with the same results. It seems to hve corupted the ports so that it want support the iPod. I can use it to charge with but not go into iTnues online. In order to access iTunes I have to safely remove my DSL and use the USB port by itself. What do I need to do?
I believe the reason you have this problem is your trying to run too many USB items than your pc can handle at the same time. Since you only have 1 USB port on your pc it may not have enough power to run an iPod and your DSL at the same time.

Have you tried syncing on more than one computer and get the same error msg as a result?
Could very possibly be a bad hard drive in your ipod.
Or, your iTunes is having trouble locating the music your trying to add to it. Try adding music manually, buy using drag and drop. See ifyou still get the same error. Let me know.
