Re: not draining?

Remove the drain hose from the stand pipe and vacuum the water out of the washer with a wet vac from the drain hose but because of the pillow this might not work in your case. Now remove the two screws on the front lower panel and pull the panel
in side you will see the drain pump if you did not have a shop vac go to the auto parts store and buy a pair of radiator hose clamps and clamp the hose line as close to the washer tub as possible.(but put down some towels as water always stays there) then pull the tub to pump hose by depressing the squeeze clamp(now while your at the auto parts id get a screw clamp to replace the spring clamp it makes putting the hose back on a lot easier)pull the hose off. Then pull the pump to drain hose off .Remove the two 5/16 in screws securing the pump to the washer base.Unplug the connector and remove the pump inspect the pump for foreign objects, broken or stripped impeller blades . if the impeller are stripped you will have to replace the pump then form the front of the washer take a piece of water hose with one end cut off and run it down the pump to drain end of the drain and reassemble the unit

Re: not draining?

Something is stuck under the auger, causing restriction. Whatever is stuck, its blocking the drain.

Hi Erin just read your post,I have worked on these machines alot. Now I need you to manually drain the machine of all the water. Once drained i want you to select drain and spin cycle. Now push the start button,do you hear the pump working? If you do stop the machine and select normal cycle on small water level and push the start button. The machine will then fill.Once it stops filling stop the machine and select drain an spin cycle.Does the machine pump out? Now if you do not hear the pump, could be the pump is faulty or jammed.Does the water flow very fast when you lower it to the floor? Please reply with answers to these questions and I will try my best to help you.

I still have wet close after spin cycle Why?

check the drain hose for any kinks in it,is it a top load or a front load washer and how old is it?the pump could be blocked with something or the tranny is bad.if it's a top load, set the timer on spin cycle, open the lid, start the spin and with a screw driver push down on the lid switch and see how the machine is spinning,if it's not spinning fast the tranny is bad.if the drain hose is stuck into a drain pipe pull it out and drain the water to see if the water is draining out good or partially draining, something could be in the pump or to much detergent, the washer can't pump out suds as fast as water then the suds turn back into water form again and the clothes are wet.

Will not drain. it does'nt look like its spinning very fast.

The washing machine not draining water. This problem is related to few possibilities. 1) The drain pump is got loose to the drain hose. check the connection from drain hose to drain pump. 2) The drain is blocked by any thing.Like cloth or any thing like metallic nails or coils etc etc. 3) The drain hose is got blocked./The drain hose is not letting the water to enter the drain pump. In most of the cases the drain pump has to be removed and checked for any kind of blockages. Also if the machine not draining can effect the spin cycle. But other possibilities for no spin or slow spin are faulty or broken motor coupler or weak spin motor. The motor coupler and motor both can be possible,if the drain pump and drain hose both checked ok.This will clear the fault. ----------- Keep updated with any more queries.Thanks,.

My hoover washing machine will not spin and drain water at end of cycle. It starts the wash cycle it turns around but it does not fast spin at the end and drain the rinse water.

Thnx for contactin fixya.
after goin through your question i felt There could be two problems...The drain could be clogged, or the water pump could be bad. Or the belt that runs the pump is sliping or broken.

plzz follow these steps..
  1. Fill washer with water and wait for the timer to get to the drain mode.
  2. Unplug the washer from the electric outlet.
  3. Open the case, and disconnect the water hose from the outlet of the water pump.
  4. If you get water pouring out from the pump, then plug that up and check the hose to the sewer. If that is clogged, then you have found the problem.
  5. Some washers have a self cleaning filter in that hose somewhere. Check that to be sure it is working properly.
  6. Reassemble hose from step 3.
  7. Plug washer back in. If it pumps out now, then you are done. If it doesn't, then the water pump is probably defective, so replace it.
  8. Reassemble washing machine're done...
hope this will solve your problem.
for further queary plz do let us kno,we will b happy to help you.
all the best

Wash cycle timing is way off.

Well, 1-1/2 hrs is normal for your washer. All front load washers take a long time. They wash a lot better than top loaders....

If it takes more time for drain or something , than it might be a concern............

However, to be on a safer side :) Lets troubleshoot
I would start by removing the hose off the pump that goes to the back wall of the washer and blow through it to make sure there are no obstructions. Also check the other hose from the tub to the pump. If there is, find and clear it. If not, read on. We need to make sure the transmission is working properly before going any further. When operating properly, this washer should drain all excess water (full load setting) in less than 180 seconds. That is the maximum neutral drain time for this particular washer. If you start the machine on a normal cycle with a 10 minute minimum agitate time, the transmission should not spin when it begins to drain. It is very important that you not disrupt the machine during this test, so use a small screwdriver to "trick" the lid switch, so you can have the lid open to see if it spins. If it doesn't spin while draining, then the transmission is okay. If it does begin spinning and draining at the same time, immediately reset for another 10 minutes of agitate and try again. You may have to run this test 1-5 times for an accurate neutral drain test. The most common failure of these transmissions is neutral drain failure. As I stated before, if the unit is spinning and draining at the same time, it won't be able to get rid of the water in time because the resistance of the tub trying to spin will slow down the motor which, in turn, slows down the pump. If the transmission doesn't spin while draining, see how long it takes to expell all the water; it should be less than 180 seconds. If it takes longer than that, there is some kind of restriction in the drain system. Anything from a kinked hose to a sock in the hose, or even a restricted house drain when the washer drain hose is sealed to the standpipe. If your washer drains to a floor drain, there should also be a siphon break in the drain line that may be bad or plugged. Let me know if you have further questions.

Water not draining

The belt may have failed due to the pump seizing up.
Remove the belt and turn the pump with your hand. If the pump seems hard to turn (should turn freely) replace the pump.
