Re: Kenmore Washer Leaking from underneath

Check the hose from the bottom of the drum to the drain. it probably slipped off. its held on by a tension clip. Someone must have pulled on the hose at the back.

Kenmore 80 didn't drain during the spin cycle and leak underneath machine. Makes buzzing noise in the wash cycles.

The pump is likely damaged if it was leaking. Look for a ring of melted plastic on the face side of the pump. Check to make sure the hole is not rounded where the motor shaft enters the pump.
I'd replace the pump just to make sure the washer doesn't flood some time in the future even if the pump turn out to be ok now.

My washer is leaking from underneath the machine. What is the cause?

It could be a few things, a hosehas a hole in it, the water pump is leaking , or the cenbter seal on the transmission is leaking. Best way to check is to put some water in it, have someone help you lean it back and look underneath to locate the leak. If the water is leaking only in the agitate cycle and not as its filling then its your center seal.

Washer leaks water in the back of the washer but i cannot see any signs of the leak. this is a front load washer . model 970 ca0042 00,

I have a Kenmore front loading washer HE2 Plus.
Started leaking only 6 months old from the back over the spin motor.
I found a bolt had come out of the motor bracket causing the motor to crack a small hole in the plastic outer drum. I've been down for about a month waiting on the part and service. This is under warranty and we cant get any help any sooner from sears, not even a loaner.
Will not purchase Kenmore products again, 2nd front loader from Kenmore, 2nd problems.

Kenmore 80 series. Leaking from front under washer. Can hear standing water under agitator/basin

Usually with this situation its a pump leaking, does it leak mostly during use.if you lean appliance back, should be able to take a peak underneath at pump. will just need to be replaced if leaking.
