I have the same problem. Over the night the sound disappeared. It happens on all the inputs(analog/digital) and with speakers/headphones. The digital signal is correctly detected and all the 'clicks' are like before when turning the amp on. Switching to direct mode does not help. Is there schematics available somewhere? I suppose it's some output related soldering which has come loose. If only I knew where to look, or point a local service guy to right direction...

Brief power cut but, timer light did not come back on. Cant use main oven. Top oven fine, isthere a trip switch?

Hello everytime the power goes off & then comes back on my oven won't work until I turn the knob for the timer around as far as it will go then back again. My oven is rather an old type but maybe if you reset the timer or turn it that may help. Or check the meter box as well. dee

When you hooked up your amp, did you hook it directly to the head unit so that it didn't come on with the car? Did you find the inline fuse in the amp positive cable? Few things to check..

I have a 3500w coleman generator I use to run my 5th wheel. It works fine until I turn on the air conditioner, then it sounds like it is bogging down and will not power the A/C.

Hello, I will make the assumption that your A/C runs fine when you are tethered to shore power. You will need to calculate your load. Add up the amps of everything in use, including the A/C. 3500W is the peak momentary output; look at your data sheet or tag to determine your continuous output, which will be less. It's possible that you're either pulling too many amps for your genset or there may be an issue with your A/C. Turn everything else off, and start the A/C. If the generator bogs down, you may not have enough generator. If it doesn't bog down, turn on your other items, one at a time. Ideally, your generator should have enough output to power everything in your 5th wheel, plus ehough extra for initial starting surge, like for your A/C, fridge, etc.. It sounds like your amps are close, but not quite there.

No sound is coming out

Hello christheline,

First make sure that the amp is powering up properly and that the input and subwoofer(s) are connected.

Check that the amp is not in "safe mode".

1. Press the MODE button.
Press the UP or DOWN button until “9” is displayed.
2. Press the ENT button.
3. Press the UP or DOWN button until “9-1” is displayed.
4. Press the ENT button.
5. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to turn safe mode ON.
6. Press the ENT button.

If this does not work, either the input from the head unit, the subwoofer(s), or the amp itself is probably defective.

Hope this helps.

What duz level adjustment do

Hello,

The level control controls the input level coming from your head unit (receiver) to the amp.

Your Sony users manual is a little vague on how to best adjust the level and other controls.

Here is one method that some installers use and works well with most amps.

Most 10" subs sound best between about 80-100hz and below, so start out by setting the LPF at about 80hz. The HPF will not be used. Next turn the bass boost and gain all the way down. Turn on the radio and set all tone controls, bass, midrange, treble to flat, usually "0" on most head units. Turn the volume up to approximately 3/4 volume level or just until you begin to hear distortion. Now, back the volume down until the distortion is gone. Next turn up the gain control on the amp until you hear the subs start to distort then back the gain down until the distortion disappears. Next turn the bass boost up again until the subs begin to distort, then either back the bass boost down or back the gain down until the distortion is gone. You may need to play around with the bass boost and gain controls to get exactly the sound you prefer.

Hope this helps.

No sound

1. check if the amp is in PROTECTION mode (might be a bad speaker or shorted output)
2. check the 'MUTE' switch
3. try to use the FM/AM mode to isolate an input source. If there is sound then check input source.
4. ...still no sound have a techinician check it.
