I have a Creative Zen Vision M (30 Gb) and am suddenly having some strange problems with sound. My usual headphones are now producing sound out of only the left channel. When I tried other headphones...

Hi if you are having head phone are giving you different sound from different head phones you have a head phone jack that is not connection properly. Some times the head phone jack can be replaced and that will fix it. other times the whole main board will have to be replaced due to a chip on the main board is whats causing the sound to change like it does. Try moving the jack around by twisting it and moving it from side to side while in the players whole. If the sound seems to change, start working on both side or you get static. as long as the sound you are getting is not staying the same then I would say its the head phone jack itself. It the sound stays the same witch is sounds like ti doesn't from what you have stated then it would be the main board. Either way something needs to be repaired.

If you need any more help, parts or your player repaired you can go to my repair service web page and e-mial me, call me or contact me threw my Ebay user name at from my web page at Thanks

The left headphone is silent, no sound

if only one side is have a sound and one side is not, this is head phone wiring issues but ill let you know in this model the common defective is the headphone wire maybe this is open wire and not connected in to another chennel.

Head ear phones works

have you tried other headphones or earphones
some headphones lose connection in the wire  and will cause a short where one side works and the other doesnt
if this is not the problem may have a lose jack on the inside of the player and will probably have to have it serviced

MY head phone jack on my mp3 player doesnt work but only when I move the jack around but only the left side. Any ideas?

This may seem like a silly question but, have you tried a different set of head phones? A lot of the time this is caused by normal wear and tear on the wires in the headphones. Its usually around the jack because this is where most of the stress is placed on the wires. We take for granted the fact that the cables bend so freely and forget that its still metal in there and all metal is susceptible to fatigue. You bend it enough times it breaks. Hopefully that helps.
