Question about Sub-Zero 632 / S

1 Answer

632/F2  The service code flashes "service" Ice flashes 50 and 24 3 weeks ago when this happened and the temperature was probably up in both the refrigerator and freezer, the (second opinion) service person replaced a fan that he said had "frozen" or "seized"(?) at a cost of @$400. The person with the first opinion thought the back of the fridge needed to be removed and coils needed to be replaced and freon needed to be replaced (with an estimate of over $900.) So I have returned to town after 2 weeks and I have the same service message. What do you think?

Are the coils on top of the unit around the compressor clear of excess dust? Actually where do you live? as I could stand to be able to charge the prices you state. I don't know how anyone honorable can charge that kind of money for a part that is less than $50.....Maybe I don't know the price of parts but that seems excessive... Have you called the help line? 1-800-222-7820...Might be worth a try...One other thing is to unplug or turn off the breaker to the unit for 10 minutes and turn it back on to see if it clears..

Kenmore Elite Oasis HE, F2 Code

In my manual it says that an F02 is a drain problem. It says to check for a kinked hose, fozen drain hose, or clogged hose, and asks iff your drain hose is more than 96" above the floor?
I don't know if this helps, but at least an F02 is in the book. My F06 is not. Good Luck!!!

Dacor single oven flashes an F2 error code and won't stop beeping!!!

This is from manufacture service manual:

-F2- Alarm Heating Mode High Temperature
Is activated when the ERC senses a runaway heat condition or when the temperature exceeds
“runaway limits”. The ERC will beep until the cancel or another function is selected. If the alarm
repeats the F2 alarm check the oven sensor and wiring after fi rst checking for a stuck relay. If alarm
goes away verify the oven will complete a clean cycle without any type of failure.
Another words the problem with oven sensor or relay board.

GE Range Spectra oven not working

F2 is an indication of an oven temperature sensor problem. Usually this is a problem with the oven sensor itself, or the relay contacts on the Electronic Range Control (ERC) board. If you had a close lightening strike, I would suspect that the contacts on the ERC are probably bad. It probably wouldn't hurt to replace the oven sensor as well. I hope this helps you.

F2 Oven overheats

jaz3133, it's probably the temp sensor that has gone bad. You should be able to get it from the front. It's the probe that comes out from the back wall of the oven. You can have someone ohm it out. Should read approx 1100 ohms at room temp. Part number for the temp sensor is WB20K5040. Make sure power is off befor removing the sensor. Catriver..post back.
