Download the proper audio sound driver and install properly then restart the computer. then plug in the headphone in the jack, your computer will automatically detect the plug in jack. means your sound will working properly. if not than change the headphone.
Hi, This problem arises due to cross pin connection of the headphone socket.Mostly frequent use of the headphones result this situation (no sound via external speakers). Call any service man he will provide you the services at nominal charges. And if you can do it by yourself then approach to the headphone section and just adjust the headphone pin, This will solve the problem. Thanks for using fixya.
if it was a metallic object, he has more than likely shorted something out inside the tv.. If you can open the tv, remove the object and check (and probably replace) the fuse (it will be right by where the cord goes into the tv...) then you MAY get lucky and it may work again.
1-confirm sound level in tv is high. 2-confirm sound level in sound source if it is excit is in high level. 3- confirm that you did not plug any jack in headphone socket if it is exict4-remove power cord from outlet and remove the rear cover. (often 4-6screws).4-go away far from right side of main board(because it is danger area!!!!!!!!. . 5-check for loose connector in the speaker and reconnect. do not go any more for your safety.
Just a thought...does the set have a headphone jack? When you plug in most headphone jacks it disables the internal speakers. If it does have a headphone jack trying plugging in some headphones to see if you have sound there. If you do, plug/unplug it a few times...worth a shot.
