Husqvarna 910 won't create a chain.

I have huskylock 910. I needle broke so I replaced it (with a new needle that came with the machine). And re threaded the machine. Now it won't create a chain at all. I have re threaded it a bunch of times, it is threaded correctly. What could be wrong? Please help

Re: Husqvarna 910 won't create a chain.

I have a similar problem. My machine did not break the needle, instead the needles were stuck in the fabric, but the other parts moved a little bit. I think the machine's timing is off. How can this be fixed?

Re: Husqvarna 910 won't create a chain.

Mine did the same thing until I put a piece of fabric in the machine and started to sew. That's what creates the chain. Wish someone would have told met hat before I spent all morning threading, rethreading, and cursing at my machine.

Re: Husqvarna 910 won't create a chain.

You may have knocked the machine out of time if the machine does not pick up stitches.

Thread coming out of eye of right needle on huskylock 910

Are you sure it's coming out? Or is it breaking at the needle?

Try replacing the right needle and do a test stitch. If it still comes out of the needle... loosen that threads tension a little.

since it's a husky lock, it would be a good idea to have the machine serviced
& make sure you have the manual to read so you can get use to the machine

Won't form a chain stitch

You 910 serger doesn't have the option for a Chain Stitch. It is a 2, 3, or 4 thread serger. You can do a good number of different stitches but a chain stich is not one of them.

If what you mean it that it won't "chain off", meaning sew with no fabric beneath the foot as you gently pull the thread towards the rear of the machine, that could be for a number of different reasons. First, change the needles and unthread the machine and start over. If the threads are not exactly where they should be, your serger won't sew correctly. Always turn the handwheel towards you. There may be an arrow on the side. (Looking from the right it should go counter-clockwise)

Unthread the needles.

Make sure that the needles are new or good (not old or bent).

Make sure that the needles are inserted with the flat side to the back and all of the way up. The left needle will be higher than the right.

Make sure that the loopers are correctly threaded and under the foot.

Place the needles in the highest position and rethread the needles.

The loopers MUST be threaded before the needles in order for it to sew.

Make sure that the threads are pulled fully down into the tensions.

Husqvarna huskylock 910 wont form chain while sewing

Are you sure the tension is right? You might need to push the thread hard against the track after leaving spool going into the machine (until it clicks). I had that problem also. Hope that helps.
