LX 710 Keyboard

This is the second semester i have had this keyboard/laser mouse and now its starting to become a nuisance. The keyboard is starting to have terrible lag, where i have to type paragraphs at a time without seeing if i made mistakes, then i have to go back and fix them. The problems that do appear in my typing is that most letters repeat themselves 5 or 6 times and then some letters don't appear it looks like I am typing to fast for some of the letters to register in? does anybody know how to solve this problem? If there is no response in a few days, i will buy a new one so please help before i spend more money.

Re: LX 710 Keyboard

If I randomly hit the keys, in majority of the cases this problem occur, it was a reliable fix :)

Re: LX 710 Keyboard

I have had the same problem for ever. I have found that unplugging the USB dongle, waiting 10+ seconds and than plugging it back in tends to fix it right away.

After a few weeks you might have to do it again. Annoying problem but a simple fix.

I have tried the whole shaking it and taking it apart and cleaning it but that never seemed to work and in some cases made the problem worse. The only thing that fixes it for me is unplugging it and plugging it back in. Hope this helps!

Re: LX 710 Keyboard

First for both the keyboard and mouse you can set the speeds. Secondly, download Ccleaner and run it. Lastly and most important if you have not done this.....take the keyboard and bang it upside down on your may be surprised as to what comes out.
Late nights cramming and pretzels...these are the obvious fixes. If that still does not do it you can take the keyboard apart and with a soft cloth moistened in alcohol clean the film and keys.

Give up... I've screwed around with logitech drivers for my Mac and it is a lost cause. My Mac recognizes the keyboard and mouse generic but only a few functions work. Tried installing new drivers again today and my Mac slowed way down like it was on drugs. Just forget it dude you will waste your time as I have. Apple has a relationship with Logitech but they point the finger back at Logitech.

Scroll Lock on -- mystery

On the Logitech LX710 Lazer the Scroll Lock option is toggled by holding down the "Function" key and pressing the "Pause/Break" key. If you look at the P/B key you will see a little orange symbol of an arrow pointing down to remind you of this feature. This can be disabled in the Setpoint panel by selecting Keyboard and Keyboard Inactive Keys then place a check in Disable Scroll Lock so you may have to remove a check mark first.
