Broiler and range work.

I have a old (1995) magic chef gas (LP) stove. It takes beetween 4-5 minutes before the stove ingnites . It says in the manual that it is suppose to take beetween 30 - 90 seconds?? Is this dangerous and what should I do??

change the bottom ignighter just because it glowes doesn't mean its getting hot enough to open the safety valve you should see two screws at the bottom of the floor of the oven cavity after removing the racks remove those and remove the floor then you will see a deflector shield remove that to get access to the ignighter take out the two screws and install the new ignightor and reassemble
