You will have to backup all data you want to keep, (on a usb stick or external harddisk) and then insert the WIndows disk.
Then restart the PC, and press [enter] when the computer asks whether you want to boot from disk. Follow the setup, and WIndows should be installed just fine!

If you have any questions, please ask them.

How to remove the virus and how to install anti-virus without virus blockage?

You can try press F8 key when computer start (few times in interval of one second) and going to Windows Safe mode with networking. Going to ESET (NOD32) online scanner with browser: http://www.eset.com/home/products/online-scanner/ and install it, and try to scan your computer. If viruses are well known, you can be lucky.
Another way is start computer with live-CD linux (Mint), and share disk partitions (samba option in control panel). Connect computer with another computer with network cable, and scan with its antivirus software.
AVG is good antivirus software and it is free for home use. Avira is another free, but it has not mail scanning.
Sometimes damage from virus on operation system is very hard to solve. It is best to save data (you can use live linux to do that too), and reinstall OS. Sometimes, after cleaning, just update of windows can help. Because of that kind of problem, I use linux Mint (it is safe, virus free, and easy for install).

I purchased A HCL branded Windows XP Home edition with SP1 during the year 2004. Till now I have not used much. Due to development in software the latest version of antivirus could not be loaded. Hence...

First I'd try booting the PC, as its booting press the F8 key several times. This, with luck, will offer several boot options. Choose Safe mode. (A stripped out version of windows)

Assuming it boots into safe mode, Click on start - all programmes - Accessories - System Tools - System restore.

Restore to a date prior to the SP2 installation.

If all that works, update by going through the windows update software - Start - All Programmes - Windows update.

That will update your o's to SP3.

Failing that, without a copy of windows you're a bit stuck.

However, if you are stuck and don't want to pay again for an operating system, you could download and install "Ubuntu" for free. Its a linux based operating system. Just Google Ubuntu, all instructions are on the web page.

Have a windows xp home edition, want to install windows xp professional pc wont let me install as 2nd OS,explain please

On the same machine, Windows does not tolerate second OS. Ont the other hand you can install any number of OS' if it is a Linux machine. The trick is to install Windows first and then install Linux etc. The Linux boot manager will tolerate Windows and others and incorporate then with itself. But vice versa is not possible.

Hai i have downloaded a windows xp sp3 home edition and i dont have a key can any body help me

You can't legitimately get a Windows key unless you purchase it from Microsoft. Any of the keys you might find listed on the Internet are likely to be blacklisted by MS. They might work to let you install Windows, but when you activate it or try any updates you'll be told it's a pirate copy.

Maybe consider installing some distribution of Linux instead? Versions like Ubuntu are very close to Windows graphically so there's very little to learn, and many Windows applications can be made to run in Linux. There are also many free open-source programs available to do almost anything you'd find for Windows. It's a good alternative to consider.

Linux installation

When you install Linux it will offer to create the required partitions during the install. You just have to select a size (I use 10 Gb for my installs). Select "at end of free space". It will also load the Boot Loader so that you can dual boot either system.

What is the error code for Vista Help?

Dual Booting

possibly by first creating a new partition large enough for Linux OS, but does not solve your problem...try getting a VISTA startup disc from another pc (floppies if you have the drive) and startup from these.
