How do I convert songs from itunes into a format that my rca mp3 player will recognize? They are currently in an mp4 format.

Are you trying to take the audio out of a video? Generally mp4 is a video codec. Change your import settings in itunes to the required format (mp3) and then select and right click the track. It should show an option to "convert selection", which will convert the selected track to an mp3 file.
If you are trying to extract audio from a video you can either use a movie editor to extract the audio (windows movie maker and iMovie for e.g.) or a program like ffmpegx (recommended)

My problem is that I have to press play every time a new song comes on. And it keeps saying "request DRM time". What does that mean and how do I fix it so I don't have to press play every time?

Your song (.WMA) are copy protected by 'Microsoft Windows Media digital rights management (DRM)' and appears to be requesting a license key.
Solution: remove DRM (for song that you own ...) by some third party meanssoftware (including burning them on CD with appropriate options) or use alternative songs encoding (such as .mp3) that do not this protection.

Cannot play wma audio book on mp3

Audiobooks in WMA format have a restrictive DRM-license that does not allow their use on certain types of mp3 player. To use the WMA file that you already have, you will need to use an illegal DRM-stripper such as Tunebite - but, that's illegal.

You will have to stick to audiobooks that are in mp3 format - and even then, there are a few asterisks - you may not be able to resume where you left off without fast-forwarding. But at least you will be able to play the file.

DRM not supported

This player definitely supports drm, but there are different versions of drm. I would first check the songs that you have downloaded to make sure they did not have "temporary" licenses with a fixed end date. You can do this by right clicking on an individual song, clicking on properties, and selecting the "license," "digital rights mgmt" or "media usage rights" tab - the wording varies by configuration. It will give you info on the license.

To fix this problem, you will need to convert those non-supported DRM files to Mp3 files using Mp3 conversion software.

Problem playing a downloaded audio book

Perhaps your audio book was from They use their own audible format ( .aa instead of .mp3) and only certain mp3 players can play .aa files. If the book is in .aa format, go to and check to see whether or not your player is compatible with .aa files. If not, you're outta luck. durok
