Scan your mobile for worm or virus as they are usually memory hungry application and moreover mobile usually have low mwmory.

Sometimes media player hangs due to the mismatch media files codecs or checksum error,but if all the media files are not working then flashing or restalling the software will solve your problem.

Usually there is a reset button on this devices. Takes a pin needle to reset. Sometimes a combination of buttons to be pressed to reset it. On your specific player the reset button is lower right corner. A tiny hole you would put a pin needle in for a second.

My sony NWD B103F doesn't want to turn off and it gets hang whenever I play music. I gets off only after it is discharged. Last time I put the usb inappropriately and after that this problem started!!

My yp-u3 gets "hang". i cannot tun off and on. i tried to connect to usb port of computer but does not activate.

when you use more programs the phone will hang. so use the proograms thats the phone can run. delete those vulgarous programs thats currently being in the phone. or you may reprogram the phone . some times it may get corrected .

WHILE I'M USING THE MEDIA PLAYER ON MY LAPTOP IT ACCIDENTALLY HANGS AND THE ICONS AND THE STATUS BAR ON THE DESKTOP ARE GONE ONLY THE MOUSE POINT EXIXT AND THE WALL PAPER. WHAT WRONG WITH IT

Sometimes a partially corrupted media file will crash the media player. Try a different media player like the free VLC:
www.videolan.org/vlc/

Also might want to check that your video driver is up to date, as that can be another source of similar problems.
