Kenmore 19000 Scan Driver

I have a Kenmore R/W 19000 scan reader and can't see the drive on my windows XP. I am using a USB Serial cable and USB to Serial driver on my computer. The computer is not recognizing the scanner. I have downloaded a XP driver for a USB to Serial port, and still have no luck.

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Will my PED BASIC work with windows 10

There is a version of the Brother PED-Basic that will work with Windows 10. Go to http://support.brother.com/g/b/downloadtop.aspx?c=us&lang=en&prod=hf_basiceus , and accept the EULA. This is a free update.

However, check if your sewing machine will work with Windows 10. The list is here: http://support.brother.com/g/s/hf/os/windows10/win10_hsm_us.html . With some sewing machines, no USB driver is available for Windows 10. For these, you need to put the designs on a USB flash drive to import them on the sewing machine. For other machines, you may need to add a serial port card to the computer or get a USB to serial port converter to connect the card reader/writer. See https://www.amazon.com/Trendnet-TU-S9-USB-Serial-Converter/dp/B0007T27H8 for one model. (Note: you may need a different converter. The best converters have an option to change the pin assignments. A lot of older serial devices did not use the pin standard that was eventually developed.)

I hope this helps.

Using 3D software with 4D reader/writer on XP operating system. Getting error message "reader/writer not found" "VSM reader/writer & embroidery machine USB driver Type A" If I...

Hi Sheila,

Click on start, click on My computer, then look in the left hand menu for View system information and click on it, click on Hardware, click on Device Manager, your VSM reader should show under Universial serial bus controllers, normally at the bottom of the page. If there is a yellow ? mark next to it, it means the driver has not been installed successfully. If so, double click on VSM reader, click on driver, make sure your software CD is in your cd drive and click on Update driver. Should solve your problem.

My Janome customizer 2000 will not write to the scan card. It says that it will not recognize the serial port.

Hi, I have the same problem with mine. Janome have not been very helpful. I didn't know if it was the card or the card reader/writer. I have a Janome CX500. Have you solved any of the problems?

Looking for an internet site that offers a patch for Kenmore (Janome)R/W 19000 embroidery software for Windows XP. The orig software is only compatible with Windows 95 and MS Word. Thanks so much.

I was informed there was no patch. The software was formated for windows 95 and will only work with that software. you can pick up a computer for less than 100 with that old windows system-- that is what I did.

Can I use my Scan n Sew PC on XP. If so is it

What version of Customizer are you using?

To answer your question without knowing *all* of the specifics, yes, you can use your S&S PC on computers running XP. You will need, however, a serial-to-USB adapter. You can pick one up at Best Buy for about $30 or you can take your chances at eBay for about $15 (with shipping). I, myself, bought mine at eBay and got a great deal.

Once you've hooked up (and installed the software for) the adapter and your S&S PC, you need to tell Customizer which COM port to use. To do this, open Customizer (either EasyEdit or EasyImport) and click the "ScanCard" menu item. Choose "Communication Settings" in the drop-down menu and then choose "COM4" in the "Channel" drop-down menu. You may need to play with the "Baud rate" to get the best results.

From there, Customizer will be able to speak to your Scan N Sew and vice versa!! :)

If there's anything I can clarify, please let me know!! :)

call the people who made your computer (hp, dell) and ask for a down grade to XP and that will solve most all your problems that you will have with vista. vista has built in things that you will not be able to run alot of your programs on.
