SB 600 Not resetting... (by 2 users)

posted by lively on Jan 21, 2008

I've tried the ol' pushing the MODE/ON/OFF buttons for several seconds and taking out the batteries while the SB 600 is on... is there any other way to reset this thing??

On my SB-600, mounted on a D70, I can't reset the flash. I tried holding the minus and mode buttons and something happens, but not an entire reset. And I tried replacing the batteries with the unit on. I am trying to enable the automatic setting of the flash for the different lenses, such as a 28 mm lens or a 50 mm lens. The little M above the zoom won't go away. I've tried holding the zoom down, but it doesn't help. What can I do?
