Question about Magellan RoadMate 300 GPS Receiver
I got an authorization code for sd card and loaded maps. When I try to access the sd card the gps says Maps not Authorized.
SOURCE: No communication with computer
I would try downloading the USB driver from magellan (if they offer it). You may also be able to get the driver from C-Map USA as the do the map software for magellan.

SOURCE: Same Problem
A red "X" means that the map file which has a serial number is not the same serial number as the GPS you are trying to run it on.
This is not garbage this is a copyright protection scheme that prevents people from sharing maps which cost money to produce.
So either 1) purchase a set of software that will code to your GPS or 2) create your own maps that do not require any codes to operate.
