Re: speaker errror message

The usual fix for "Speaker err" message is to simply unplug the sub-woofer power cord to reset the speaker diagram, plug it back in and remember to "match the negatives to negative, positives to positives" and never try to replace the original speakers with anything but equivilent speakers, adding on more speakers can cause the "Speaker err" message and an inoperative system.

How to hook up system to tv

The wires from the speakers usually go to a receiver/amplifier, which then connects to your TV. If you do not have a receiver/amplifier, then you will not be able to connect the speakers.

What player will work with the dvx-s100 speakers

The note about using other speakers (Page 11) implies that the electronics and the speakers are not dependent on each other but there might be tonal changes if you mix and match. Therefore, since they use bare wires you could drive them with any common amplifer that is comfortable with 6-ohm loads.

Speaker error

Try checking the volume on your subwoofer i had the same problem. I unplugged the system and had the same error message pop up. So i checked the volume on the subwoofer, and it was set to max, i set it to normal and i haven't had any problems since

There are 2 ways to check your volume

1...On the remote there is a button labeled "BASS" press it, and on the display it will tell you a number between -3 and +3, If no number appears then it should say either "MIN" or "MAX" if it's at max use the volume control on the remote to turn it down to "0"

2...On the remote press "SET UP"
.....Select the Volume icon by using the arrow keys, press "ok" or "enter" to access that icon
.....Select "Speaker Setup" using the arrow keys and enter button
.....Select Speaker Volume by pressing enter
.....scroll down to "SUBWOOFER" and make sure the volume is no higher than +4dB
....Once done press "SET UP" on the remote to exit the setup screen

*Note* - The speaker volume option can only be chosen when nothing is playing on the player, or the disc tray is empty, You also have to be in either, Ipod mode or DVD mode to access this menu.

Hope this solves your problem, and i apologize on the delay of this solution ^_^

Video/dvd/cd play but no sound from speakers

Try changing "audio" setup in your TV to "variable" instead of "fixed", if you have that option on your TV set up... I have a Sony HD widescreen, and that worked for me...

Help installing Yamaha home theatre system.

This is probably a setting problem on your remote-the unit will ony give full surround sound on Movies like dvd-on TV you may not get all speakers going as the cable does not provide signals to drive all speakers-check your manual and change to the appropriate setting-pro-logic is bad for this-will not give sound to all speakers unless the signal tells it to.
