Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer
When i try anything drain/spin all im getting is a clicking noise and the door still locked.
I took the motherboard out and searched around for
the crack with a microscope, I found that every one of the relays had
bad solder joints with micro-cracks around the legs. This did not
happen due to wear or vibration. It was just a bad solder job on the
factory wave solder machine. QC issue.
After re-soldering all the relays legs I have run the machine for a month now without any issue.
So there it is the final fix for the dreaded door lock F dl issue. and likely any other random issue.

I pressed cancel (the stop button twice) which made the washer go blank. Then I turned the dial, re-shut the door making sure it was closed all the way and pressed start. She's running like a champ now.

there is somthing in your drain pump or your drain pump is bad or both, take the three screws from the front bottom panel and in the middle you will the pump housing round and plastic you can take the cap out and it has a trap in it . get some towels ready and under pump then take out slowly make sure there is nothing inside housing if so remove it then put cap back in and start drain spin if pump sounds better then put into wash then into drain and spin to check it out to unlock the door you can do so by putting your hand up the right side behind the front panel and feel the door lock from the back unplug unit from wall of course you will feel a round flat peice of plastic at bottom of lock pull down on it and will unlock door after clearing pump and unlocking door try unit out if still acting up replace drain pump part#280187 about $120

Hello ctilton2001 - This particular issue can be caused by quite a few reasons. Washer could be experiencing a communication error from the main control board, faulty door lock assembly or the timer itself is not operating correctly. Did you notice a humming noise? If so, either the drainage hose/pump is clogged and needs to be cleaned or could possibly have another issue with the door lock assembly. You can also press and hold the start/pause and cancel button together at the same time for approximately 30 seconds to display an error code on the LED. What error code does it display? However, I would suggest contacting a professional to accurately diagnose the washer.
