DENON DVM-2815 - intermittent playing

I can turn on the unit; select the cd or dvd to play and it will play that particular disc without a problem. It moves to the next tray and will not load the dc/dvd to play. If I play a CD for example and decide I want to hear previous tracks within the same CD - no problem with the unit reading and playing. This only happens when It is going to play the next CD/DVD. It occurs when you select random play as well - only after the unit has played for a while. You can hear the unit spinning trying to load the CD/DVD but it will not. From what I have rewad, this has been a problem from other purchasers of this product. Worth repairing? The unit is 3 years old.
