Question about Projection Televisions
LOL Thanks Take.. Yea this set is a DLP set and uses a bulb that gets weak or my move and get dislodged .. Its not a repair even for the consumer or you can mess up the DLP display .. Let a pro realighn or replace the bulb assy Good Luck PS its not as simple as replacing the builb

You should post more specifics for what you are using this TV for when this happens.
Have you tried different inputs/are they all doing the same thing?
Also, if you are using this TV for a computer monitor via S-Vid or any type of converters, you could have an issue from the signal coming through and not the TV itself.

The "optical block" is bad. There are currently 3 settled class actions against sony for other models with the same problem, If memory serves me correct, your model is in an ongoing class action. If you google Sony LCD class action suit. you will find lots of info. www,sonystyle.com and support has a few articles as well. It is a 900.00 part, so, not really cost effective to repair. Post a comment for me tomorrow and I will paste what links I have on this issue to this post. There in my other PC at my office. Hope this helps
