Why does my machine keeps turning off

This question needs to supply more information than it currently does. Who manufactured your humidifier? Model of your humidifier? Details about when it 'shuts off', such as water level, temperature, etc.

Most humidifiers are designed to shut off when conditions reach an unsafe condition, such as water level too low. Generally this is sensed by some sort of float telling the device to shut off. Another method used is by monitoring the temperature in the device, after all 'humidification' is done by evaporating water into the surrounding air. If the temperature rises above 212 deg f (boiling point of water) it thinks there isn't any water left to add to the air so it shuts off for safety reasons.

The best course of action is to contact the manufacturer directly for details.

Washer does not completely drain to allow for spin

The most common cause for standing water in a washer is a clogged drain pump. Another possibility is a kink or clogged drain tube. Below is a youtube video with instructions on removing a drain pump on most front load washers including your Frigidaire model. Best of luck and thank you for using Fixya!

On my Electrolux Washer EIFLW55HIWO the water will not shut off. It keeps filling the tub. Thanks

It's possible that your pressure switch is bad. For that model it's Frigidaire OEM Part #134762010. It's about $40 on line.
This manufacturer-approved water level pressure switch (part number 134762010) is for washers.

Water level pressure switch 134762010 senses and controls the water level in the washer.

Unplug the washer and shut off the water supply before installing this part. Wear work gloves to protect your hands.

Kenmore 80 series model number 11026842692 continueously fills with water. wont stop.

Water-level switch A defect--or an obstruction--in the water-level switch may mean that it can't tell the water to shut off. So the machine overflows. This switch senses the water level in the clothes tub. It's usually a diaphragm device with a small, clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. As the water level in the tub increases, the pressure on the air in the tube increases. When the pressure reaches a certain level, it activates the switch, shuts off the water, and signals the timer to begin the agitate cycle. You can either clear any obstruction in the tube or replace the water-level switch. Water-inlet valve A defect in the water-inlet valve may mean that it's no longer able to shut off completely when the electricity has been turned off to it. If this occurs, the valve may leak and drip water into the clothes tub. In time, the water may accumulate substantially. If this happens, you need to replace the valve.

WATER FLOWS INTO THE WASHER AS IT SHOULD BUT WHEN THE CORRECT LEVEL IS REACHED IT DOESN'T SWITCH OVER TO THE WASH CYCLE. MY MACHINE IS A FRIGIDAIRE

The problem is the pressure switch has failed or the hose is plugged up, has a hole in it. These are usually inexpensive and are very easy to replace. There is a video at http://appliancehelponline.com/toppressureswitchvideo.html this will walk you thru the inspection and replacement of this part. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations of your specific model. All parts come with installation instructions. Not all models are available.

The water is running all the time in my front loader

This is caused by a faulty water level switch. This is a diaphragm like device with a small clear plastic tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. As the water level increases, so does the pressure on the air in the tube, and when it reaches a certain level, it activates the switch to turn off the water and signals the timer to begin agitate cycle. Look for any obstructions or damage to the tube. The switch can be tested for continuity using a multimeter. A lack of continuity would indicated a bad switch. Hope this helped and best wishes.

I have a 9 year old heavy duty top load washer that keeps overflowing no matter what water level it is on. I think it might need that part. If so how do I install it?

If your washer is overfilling, check these:

Water-inlet valve
Water-level switch
Water-inlet valve A defect in the water-inlet valve may mean that it's no longer able to shut off completely when the electricity has been turned off to it. If this occurs, the valve may leak and drip water into the clothes tub. In time, the water may accumulate substantially. If this happens, you need to replace the valve.

Machine over filling even when set on min. simpson enduro 701

When the machine is overfilling , it means that there is a problem with the inlet valve (valve not closing) or with the water level switch, that should turn off the valve when water reaches level.

See the suggestion from It's overfilling at repairclinic:

It's overfilling If your washer is overfilling, check these:

Water-inlet valve
Water-level switch
Water-inlet valve A defect in the water-inlet valve may mean that it's no longer able to shut off completely when the electricity has been turned off to it. If this occurs, the valve may leak and drip water into the clothes tub. In time, the water may accumulate substantially. If this happens, you need to replace the valve.

Machine takes in some water, stops briefly then drains

Check first the drain hose, if machine does not fill it can be also because an obstruction.
More likely there is a problem with the water level switch, that is the sensor that activates draining when water level is too high.
When the water level switch is faulty you get the magchine draining at the wrong time, when the machine is still underfilled.

See the following notes from repairclinic:

"The water-level switch regulates your washer's fill volume. This switch is usually a diaphragm device with a small, clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. As the water level in the tub increases, the pressure on the air in the tube increases. When the pressure reaches a certain level, it activates the switch, shuts off the water, and signals the timer to begin the agitate cycle. If the switch is defective, it may prematurely signal the water to shut off. If so, you probably need to replace the water-level switch."
