ATI Radeon HD driver installation error: product identification error

Hello there.
I am an ATI Radeon customer myself (I own an ATI Radeon HD 2600XT) and there's a problem that I've faced for a long long time and have finally found the solution.
If you have this driver or any other ATI Radeon HD 2600/3600 series you might have noticed already that when trying to install the drivers (both out of the CD or the downloaded once) the driver-installation program does NOT identify that you have that exact model. Thus, causing you problems of not being able to play high quality PC Games and/or Video Codecs problems.
I was astonished, that's an error from ATI side, what should I do?
Well thank god ATI put an eye for that problem and they finally published a solution to it, a hotfix.
How to apply the hotfix and finally enjoy the potentials of this amazing Video Card?
Go here
Select your operation system. (For me, I have Windows XP Professional, so I would click Catalyst 10.4 Hotfix for Windows XP PRofessional and Home Edition.)
And by clicking there it prompts you to download the hotfix that includes the driver and ATI Catalyst.
Install it, and you're good to go.

I've installed an ATI RADEON HD 4670. when i try to update the driver i get a message that there are errors in the installation process. When i try to play my game i get this message "failed to find...

Try this. Uninstall all ati drivers, then maybe you should use Driver cleaner pro to remove all driver components.
Install net framework 2, then install driver again.Good luck.

Cannot play FIFA09

Uh oh. It looks like you're out of luck.

FIFA 09 PC Requirement (minimum):
Graphics: 6600 Nvidia graphics card or ATI equivalent with support for Pixel Shader 3
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c"

Nvidia 6600 came out at 2004 and it supports DirectX 9.0C (Shader 3 came with 9.0C)
ATI Radeon 9200 came out at 2003 and only support DirectX 8.1 (which support shader 1.2 - 1.4)

Nope, Radeon 9200 will not support Shader 3 (neither will it support 2.0).

Time for a new video card maybe?

I hope this answers your question.

I want to solve my computer problem.. when i'm play video games to my pc.. i got the message r300 error and my monitor turns to black..& when the message comes out my pc will be hang.. then i'll restart...

if you want a graphics card to handle any games you will need to upgrade to a 512mb one. the 128mb you are using will have lots of issues with the newer games. some of the top games will free with the card when you purchase a new graphics card.

No display

you need to boot to safemode and reset your resolution it sounds like someone has set the resolution higher than the monitor can support, just press F8 right after the post screen goes away when you turn it on, then select safe mode, once in safe mode go to your display settings and set the res and color depth to a low settings ie. 800x600 or 1024x768 then reboot and it should work
