Question about Linksys BEFSR41 Cable/DSL Router W/4 Port Switch, Retail Box (DSLSBEFSR41)
I hooked up my wireless G router and sent it to my other computer which has a wireless-G usb adapter. The computer tells me that the computer is connected and the signal strength is excellent 11mbps, but will not connect with the internet. We took it to someone who reinstalled the driver and linked up with his computer just fine. It still didn't work when I hooked up here at home. Don't know what to do next.
Pls check the wan port if its connected properly sir...try to ping a site.. pls click on run tab on the start button then type in "cmd" you will see a pop up window. then type in ping yahoo.com if you will get a replies that means your connection is good but if not try to check your wireless-g usb adapter if its working properly. if still its not working try to reset the router and try again with the set up.. check on the lights of the router if it is solidly lit for the wan and 1234 ports.. if it is solidly lit your good to go. go back again to the command prompt then type in ipconfig if youll see a valid ip address go to the set-up page of your router and try to configure again your router.
