Question about Apple iPod MA446LL/A MP3 Player
My iPod has the sad face and the X eyes. I can't charge it up or anything so I don't know if I can even try the disk mode. When I try to put it into the mode it just says low battery please wait. I don't know what I can do.
If you hear a repetitive clicking sound from inside of your iPod you have a broken hard drive. If you're out of warranty, somebody has to open the iPod classic andreplace the hard drive. The part is available on ebay. Here's a guide on how to disassemble an iPod classic. Maybe a tech savy friend can do it for you. If you want to pay to have somebody do it for you there are third party iPod Repair Services.

I have been told this is because the speaker wires are pushing against the laser motors. How can I fix this?
