    I have the same problem.

The machine seems to go through the cycle as normal but it does not drain the water out.

Is this a pump issue or a blockage??

  • Muddley Jan 27, 2008

I have played with the machine at length today... In the hope that if this was merely a blockage, I could move it...

If I go to a spin cycle, the machine begins to work normally, bringing in some water and then spinning slowly... It seems then, that the pump does not engage, thus leaving the water in the drum and not allowing the machine to speed up to a full speed spin.

If I enpty the machine using gravity to drain the water, the spin runs normally.

Obviously draining manually is not viable during a wash cycle. Is it possible that there is a switch for the pump, which is in need of replacement, or is this a requirement to replace the pump.

I have a Whirlpool Ultimate Care II Model LSQ9544KQO. It will fill,
agitate and drain correctly in any and all cycles, but it will not spin
in any cycle. Sometimes I can manually "push" it and it will start to
spin slowly, with light loads. Also the machine is leaking from under
the front. Please help. Thank you

    Hi...
My washer, (Just two months after the extended warranty ran out), will intermittently NOT Drain the Water or Spin. If I lean the machine back and drop it, it will usually continue to cycle to end; but not always. It only handles Small Loads now; but sometimes not even a small one. I often have to drain the water from the machine before it will again empty the water and finish a Rinse/Spin Step.
I don't think this is a mechanical problem; but maybe a relay somewhere. Can anyone tell me where and how to look ? Does anyone know if it's a relay that kicks-in the Rinse/Spin Cycles ? Can anyone provide me with a Logic Diagram for this machine; and maybe even a schematic ?
    Thank You !

Yes, but am not sure what I am looking for... Is it possible that the pump could be blocked and just need cleaning... or is it more likely to be dead???

Ok now your problem is clearer you have a bad pump or something stuck in it there is no switch besides the lid switch and that is working by you telling me it is spinning do you want to open the unit to replace the and check the pump??

I know it's been a few years, but we still have the machine and I thought it would be good to close this.

There was a childs sock jammed into the pump impellar. It was not possible to remove it, but the pump was cheap and simple to replace.

Stops in the middle of wash cycle

Hi!

If the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:
It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.
It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.
Please do rate this solution as FixYa and revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Whirlpool Ultimate Care II keeps taking water.

ck your drain nose/drainline, chances are you have along hose, perhaps even draining along the floor behind hte unit, into a "closed" drain system. in which cawee the wwater is syphoning out during the rinse cycle, youlll needt o raise the drain hose to above 48" and have it drain into a stand pipe to prevent siphoning effect

Washing machine stops working

I search in the internet on regards to the problems with the Whirpool Ultimate Care II and found out that many others had the same problem as I did. Some solved this issue replacing the switch, so i decided to do the same.
I opened the machine and saw that the switch was not working properly, it was not doing any contact, so whenever I open or closed the lid, nothing was happening. I did a house fixing, with some duck tape i was able to make the system work, and now the machine is washing everything again.

Ultimate II is refusing to go into agtation/wash cycle

It sounds like a bad timer unit, and possibly a lid switch.

As far as the water overfilling, that may be an unrelated problem, such as the water level switch... but most likely the timer.

I have the same model, and it wouldn't drain.. and it would try to spin when full of water... an interesting sight to see!
