Sears kenmore side by side won't get cold!

Appliances branded with the Kenmore logo and sold through Sears are produced by other major manufacturers.
So First: Using the Sears Model Prefix Chart, find out which manufacturer produced your appliance to find the right repair information. Locate the model number on your appliance and match up the first three digits before the decimal point of the model number to find the manufacturer.




Then search the appropriate manufacturer Fault codes to diagnose (and hopefully fix) the problem

Sounds Like the overload and start relay, yet I need a little more information to get the part number. See these notes> Sears buys all their products from someone else like Whirlpool, Maytag, GE and the list goes on and on. Then Sears calls their model number Kenmore Model Number=> Kenmore Model Number Locator's and the first three numbers are the models maker or who originally made the appliance Click Here for examples=> Kenmore Appliance Model Number Prefix's or Click=> Here once you have the correct Kenmore Model Number once you have that then you can find the parts for your dispenser. Your number will look like this for example only 363.235698 then go to Parts Direct or Repair Clinic and enter the correct Kenmore appliance model number and then search dispenser parts for that model numbers parts number. That sounds like the compressor start capacitor,relay or overload. It could even be the defrost timer or part of the defrost Adaptive Defrost Control. I will need the Sear Kenmore model number. I will need you to communicate with me and look around the door of the fresh food section for a model number. Sears uses a different model number when they sell a Maytag, Whirlpool or any Brand nam. If it's new (under 5 years of age) it is under factory warranty, if it's a sealed system failure. Bad compressor, refrigerant leaks, or restrictions in the connecting tubing.
Contact Sears with complete model and serial number.

Have you tried Sears.com? I know you can order all kinds of repair parts for Sears products. If you have a Servall store in your area, they have a variety of parts for appliances like washers, dryers, airconditioners and so on. Last, check online using your Model number in the Browser search.

Theirs a problem with the fuse on those machines. The e1 indicates that a fuse has been blown. check out the link for more details.

Sears has a complete model number system that is confusing I know. Sears made it that way. Not sure why but look around the cold food door while open and look near bottom on the frame just above the kick plate. The number looks like this, (model No. 253.64802400 for example) Find that number and we can go from there, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Sears gives their models different numbers for example 198.215478
Look for the number so I will be on the correct model and help you better.

Looks like there are is an 2 indentations on the back, these are tabs, push them in and push the cover up, it should come off.
