Check your ignition fuse # 30, in the inside fuse box all the way on the right second from the bottom, check your coil and crank position sensor, these are responsible for spark, the crank sensor is bolted with 2 bolts next to the lower engine pulley, this is a magnetic pick up that triggers spark from the coil, if the crank sensor is good and you have no spark then the coil could be bad. Hope this helps, let me know.
To avoid confusion, remove and tag the spark plug wires one at a time, for replacement.
If a distributor is not keyed for installation with only one orientation, it could have been removed previously and rewired. The resultant wiring would hold the correct firing order, but could change the relative placement of the plug towers in relation to the engine. For this reason it is imperative that you label all wires before disconnecting any of them. Also, before removal, compare the current wiring with the accompanying illustrations. 2.2L (VIN 4) EngineFiring Order: 1-3-4-2Distributorless Ignition System 2.3L (VIN D) and 2.4L (VIN T) EnginesFiring Order: 1-3-4-2Distributorless Ignition System
