I bought a pump for my fountain 4 months ago, it stopped working

I have a fountain that holds 750 gallons. I bought a pump that moves 1200GPH, and it was working fine for about 3 months. I connected the pump to a 3/4in connector that pushes the water up at about 4 ft high to a tower where it cascades back to the base of the fountain and recirculates. I added fish to the fountain to try and keep mosquitoes from breeding in the water. The pump itself says that it had a guarrantee of 5 years. Right now the pumps sounds like it is working, but no longer pushes water up to the tower. I checked that nothing was blocking the pipes becausue sometimes I get leaves in the fountain, and everything was clear. I pulled the pump out of the water, and cleaned it, and it started again for about 5 minutes, then it stops. Did I get a deffective pump? Or should I have gotten a more powerfull pump?
Can you advice?

This sounds like you should check your suction pipeing again and with fish be sure to get a screen for it. Then also check the impeller on the pump to be sure nothing inside it. You will need to open the pump to do this. If it has been working their is probally nothing wrong with the pump itself.

I had brought a wall fountain 11 years ago and my husband just put it up today and the pump doesn't work, it won't spin

The pump has sat too long and lost its lubrication. You might see if you can reach the impellors with something to push them and see if they move. Otherwise you need a new pump

The circulation pump on my Fluval Spec V 5 gallon quit working. I bought the tank only three months ago. Any thoughts on why it conked out in such a short time?

did it "conk" out or is the pump impeller stopped by a buildup of material ?? the reason I say this its very unusual for a aquarium pump to go completely out (ive had one running 24/7 for ten years) but in that ten years ive replaced two impellors and cleaned it out over one hundred times , and yes three months is the perfect time period for a cleaning needed !!!

Riding for about 120 miles with a full tank, the engine will sputter then stop working, going 65 mph down the road, then as we were traveling. would pull in the cluth in and hit the starter and it would...

hi.
you are almost certainly low on fuel in the main tank.
the tank only holds a few gallons from completely empty. reserve fuel is a gallon or so, which means that the main tank hold somewhere just under 4 gallons if i remember correctly. my sister had a 1989 virago about 14 years ago, and hers would do about 110miles before she had to fill up again if she was driving around town. look for the fuel tap at the bottom of the tank, and if this happens again, turn the tap on to the reserve setting. it will give you about 30 miles range before running out completely. this is just one of those bikes where you have to fill up quite often due to a small tank. hope this helps

Pondmaster 1200gph pump stopped working. Inside

Sounds like the impeller broke.

Just remove the 4 phillips head screws to remove the housing, then pull the impeller out. When replacing the impeller be sure to have a good grip on it as the magnetic attraction will pull it in pretty hard.

The pump may still be under warranty, if so call the number on this web page: You can also order parts from them.

I have a 1 hp ace pump on a 30 gallon bladder tank the pressure switch keeps clicking off and on until the switch burns up have replaced 4 times in 2 months have adjusted switch until pressure is very low...

There are tow screw adjustments on the switch. One is the high shut off and the other is 'differential'. This is the one you need to adjust. It gives the 'window' that the system needs 'between' on and off.

De-icer must have a short

The best solution to ice in garden ponds is to keep the water moving as moving water will not freeze. Depending upon the size of your garden pond you may try adding a fountain. All major pump brands carry small fountain pumps that include various fountain spray nozzles/heads or you can buy the pump and then purchase a Fountain Head Kit separately. The fountain will provide 1 - movement of water at the surface, 2- aeration for the pond, 3- pleasing sounds year round, not to mention the 4- aesthetic value. The added bonus is that you will not have to worry too much about shorts if you use a submersible pump. So try dumping the deicer and go for a fountain.
