Question about Olevia LT23HVX 23 in. LCD Television

Tv wont turn on

I have a 42 inch Olevia model number is 542-B11 the tv does not turn on, could this be the power supply board? And if it is where can I purchase a power supply board? Thanks Anne

    I have the Olevia 542-B11 42" LCD TV. This morning was working fine and I attached it to a wall mount bracket. Plugged it back in and NO POWER. The Blue Light does not come on. What can the problem be and how do I repair? Thank you, rmwrich@aol.com

    I have a Olevia 537 B-11 that seems to have a power problem as well. The blue light by power button is on but nothing happens when trying to turn it on. Called tech support and was told to unplug tv for 2 hours and plug it back in but no go. Called tech support again and was told to download new firmware and update via computer. Will give it a try some time in the next couple of days. If anybody else has had the same problem please e-mail me at freedomendures@yahoo.com Thank you

    I have the 542-B11 and mine will not power on at all.  I have a steady blue LED next to the power button but nothing happens when u press the power button on the TV or the remote.  Anything anybody!?!?!?

    Hey there. I too am trying to figure out what the heck is wrong with my Olevia 42" tv. It seems to work fine when it's cool. But after an hour it just shuts off. A switch on the power supply board makes a clicking sound, as if it has a short, when I try to turn it back on. Then it cuts out. I found a replacement board on Ebay, but wanted to check around to see if this would solve the problem. Help is greatly appreciated.

Replaced two N-Channel Mosfet transistors(FQPF13N50CF-ND) and some faulty electrolytic caps in the power supply. I found the Mosfets online at Digi-Key. Mosfets are difficult to read. Only one read bad but I replaced both because they are in the same circuit. Set works great now.

It is the main power board. I have a 542-B11, the power board has 110 volts going in but no 5 & 24 volts coming out and going to the other boards. I see these power boards online and on ebay for $129+. Has anyone repaired this board before? Olevia filed chapter 11 and most parts are unavailable.

Hi, My Olevia 42 inch, model342-B11, has a problem with its picture. At first I had vertical lines running down the screen, then it turned into small squares. What do you think is wrong with it?
Parts are hard or impossible to find for this brand but it sounds like the "main" board which processes all signal in and out of the display.

542-b11 will it work with digital antenna
Refer its user manual [specifications] and see whether the tV can process digital signals. If it has ditgital processor inside, you can see it there in its specifications.

Olevia 542-b11 LCD HDTV won't turn on. Blue light blinks twice
My Olevia 42" television is several years old. In March of 2012, the infamous "TV will not power on" problem started.

The blue LED light on the front of the TV would go off for a split second, then light up again. The television would not start.

If you are handy with small tools and a soldering iron, you can change the capacitors on the power supply. My Olevia is a model 542-B11.

I bought the repair kit off eBay from seller: sghill99

We bought this tv an Olevia 542- b11 Syntax brillian lcd hdtv, back in 2009 and have not had any issues with it other then every now and then the volume would go out. we would just have to turn the tv on...

My 42 inch olevia 242fhd-t11 tv just shut off and will not come back on.. The blue led light will not come on either... Also was having intermittent sound issues for the last couple of days prior to it not...
I just repaired this identical problem on the same model TV. You have a bad power supply (also known as an SMPS). The board is model FSP271-4F02, and is about $75. Unlike the main board for this TV, you can find the power board relatively easily. Try shopjimmy, for example. Replacing the board isn't too difficult if you have a reasonable mechanical ability, have some tools, and are careful.

The HDMI port on my Olevia Model 337-B11 LCD tv quit working. Is there an easy fix?
Without replacing the main board, probably not. Did you try another HDMI source to verify the TV is at fault? If it is the cheapest fix is to use component only.

Olevia has problems with the power supplies. Best solution is to remove the back of the TV. On the 542 it is about twenty number 1 phillips head screws. locate the power supply connectors check the board for the voltages, clearly marked on the PCB. Continue to check the voltages by powering on the Television. all voltages should be within its described range. If a voltage is low or nonexistent, the power supply is bad, usually a bad capacitor.
There are three series of caps, on the low voltage side it is 16 volt, next 24 volt and finally 36 volt (these are just max ratings.
which ever power that was found low the cap would be near that voltage output connector.
next step is to remove the board and replace the capacitor, using a soldering iron and making sure to solder with no slop.
with the board on an insulated (nonconductive surface connect the board to the televion. Check voltages and if no other voltage issues reassemble.

I have an Olevia 542-B11 TV with remote control. I have Directv and always had to use (2) remote controls. My dog chewed my Olevia remote control, now I can't turn the TV on or off, adjust volume, switch...
its hard to find a remote that will work an olevia , since this brand is new and alot of manf. that make universal remotes have not updated there system..

This company called Amergence Technology sells the Olevia Remote and will control any olevia television.
