Unable to see the brightness symbol & volume symbol while adjusting - pls help

You are not in the screen menu, you are in the audio menu or you are not even in the settings menu at all.

You can control it. just go to your desktop."right click", choose the screen resolution. Look for the "display" and the "adjust brightness". Or you can work into it in control panel.

To adjust the brightness in your Acer Travelmate, press the [FN] key then press the left or right arrow directional keys which is usually on the lower right-hand side of the keyboard. You will identify the brightness and dim symbol/icon. I hope this is of help. Thank you.

Adjust your monitor's brightness and contrast

You can adjust the brightness and contrast of your monitor to improve the readability of text and to make digital pictures appear more like they'll look when printed.

The way you adjust brightness and contrast varies and depends on your specific display.

Adjusting brightness automatically using adaptive brightness

Adaptive brightness is a feature in Windows that uses a light sensor to automatically adjust the display brightness to match the lighting conditions in your computer's surroundings.

To use adaptive brightness, you must have light sensors installed and enabled on your computer.

To determine if your laptop or computer monitor supports adaptive brightness, look for the Enable adaptive brightness setting in Power Options (mentioned in the following procedure) or check the information that came with your computer.

To turn adaptive brightness on or off

Open Power Options by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Security, and then clicking Power Options.

Under any plan, click Change plan settings.

Click Change advanced power settings.

In the list, expand Display, and then expand Enable adaptive brightness.

To turn adaptive brightness on or off when your computer is running on battery power, click On battery, and then, in the list, click On or Off.

To turn adaptive brightness on or off when your computer is plugged into an outlet, click Plugged in, and then, in the list, click On or Off.

Click Apply. Click OK.

if you want to set the volume point the mouse on the speaker in the task-list, double-click speaker symbol and adjust your sounds/volume

Examine the keyboard. There should be a symbol on most of the function keys (F1, F2, etc.). Look for one that looks like a sun or lightbulb, either with an arrow pointing up or with the sun/lighbulb filled in. Hold the 'Fn' key, and tap the up/bright sun/lightbulb key a few times. The screen should increase in brightness.

If you cannot find the specified keys, you may be able to adjust brightness from inside Windows. Right click on the battery icon in the taskbar and open 'power options'. Look for a sun and moon with a sliding bar between them. You might also be able to adjust brightness by customizing your desktop (right click on the desktop and look for the proper menu).

I have an acer 5630 and my brightness key is over on the far right bottom side of my keyboard 2 keys for brightness and 2 keys for the volume

and i hold down the Fn key down on the bottom left of my keyboard as well as the brightness up key that should brighten your screen for you i hope it works for me

and the same for the volume

You can use the "Fn" + F7 and F8 key from the key to increase the Colour and Brightness of the Screen

Use the special function keys to adjust screen and speakers:

bright ness buttons are indicted witha sun like mark . they r usaly used with fn keys look for that keys
