ALTERNATIVE TO THE EXPENSIVE CPU FAN

IF YOU ENCOUNTER TO THE PC THAT YOUR CPU FAN IS NOT WORKING OR IT IS ALREADY DEFECTIVE... INSTEAD YOU BUY A EXPENSIVE FAN FOR PROCESSOR, YOU CAN USE AN ALTERNATIVE USING CASE FAN>>> IT'S MORE EFFECTIVE TO BRING AIR TO YOUR PROCESSOR TO AVOID OVERHEATING AND IT'S ALSO CHEAP TO BUY TO THE MARKET..... ALL HAVE TO DO IS ATTACH THE FAN TO THE HEAT SINK USING ANY ADHESIVE MATERIAL OR TIE IT TO THE HEAT SINK. IT CAN PROVIDE MORE AIR THAN THE ORIGINAL ONE. TRY IT! BECAUSE IN MY OWN COMPUTER, IT IS ALREADY TESTED.....

my vostro 200 encountered cpu fan failure but i use it then it shots down and never runs it again what should i do???

Hi, its not a good practice to use a pc without a CPU fan. most cases the fans pc shuts down to prevent damage to the CPU. i will advance you take it to a technician to have the fan replaced. then it will work if the CPU has not already been damaged by you trying to use it without the fan. but i am sure that is not the case. get the fan changed and you pc will work again

I have desktop computer with celeron processor CPU 240 GHz and 512 MB ram with 40 GB HArd disk.. I see my hard disk encountered some problem and planning to by new hard disk ..which is best for me and the capacity? and also can i add another 512 MB ram or should i change the processor with the motherboard??? please assist me in this

Hi ,
I assume you are under Windows XP but this will also work under Windows 7 32 bit .
You can insert a 100GB HDD without any problem . A higher capacity is risky with your type of machine and could lead to a fatal read error , meaning you couldn't boot your unit anymore .
Under a 32 bit XP system , 2GB ram is the max.
I don't recommend changing the processor with the motherboard , you could encounter conflictual issues with the rest of the unit .
Buy yourself a new pc equiped with a I5 or better with a I7 processor running under W 7 64-bit is the solution but they still are expensive .
Best regards .

new motherboard and cpu: no post

I have encountered that kind of problem before in the AMD processor. When your turn on the switch the fan is spins and then suddenly stop. The processor is shorted or there is defective parts you need to return it to the supplier. But can you check first if the motherboard and the processor is match . Maybe the motherboard cannot carry the speed of the processor it's better to ask to the supplier or ask them to test both the processor and motherboard .
