The wiring to my hotpoint tumble dryer

You would have had to disassemble the dryer to replace the belt, so the video was correct. The door switch assembly wiring at the front of the dryer mates with a matching connector which you would have separated for cabinet removal. Don't know why you messed with control panel wiring for belt replacement but you can go to and enter tcym 750c to see a list of common replacement parts and maybe a video showing disassembly of a generic Hotpoint dryer. You might be able to get an answer to your wiring question.

My dryer is not getting hot. The clothes tumble, but do not get dry because the dryer is not getting hot. Could it be the thermostat or something else?

First, check the venting to make sure it isn't stopped up with lint. This is the most typical case. Also, which you probably already have done, make sure the lint screen is clean. You may have to disconnect the flexible hose on the back of the dryer to clean your vent.

Kenmore HE Dryer not blowing hot air

I have a gas kenmore dryer... the drum runs- it blows air and for just a few minutes warm air but after a few minutes the air is cold. I have cleaned the vent checked it good. I didn't see the fuse on the back I have the bottom latch open and see several wires that can be disconnected; snap together.

Is not getting hot.have cleaned the lint basket and pulled the basket holder and cleaned behind it. still not getting hot. could it be the heating element?

Deffinitely the next thing I would test. If it is tumbling and the timer is working, save having a wiring issue, which is highly unlikely, it probably does need a heating element.

No heat in tumble dryer

The heating element have got old and brittle over time and finally gave up the ghost. But it is not always the element. It could be one of the safety Hi-limits have blown. All parts of the dryer will have continuity if its working properly. Test for continuity by using a meter set on Ohms,or use a poor man's meter. You can make your own poor man's meter by using an ordinary flashlight . Break the circuit in the flashlight and add a couple of wires to it so that you can make the light come on in the flashlight, that's right hot wire that flashlight. When the bulb lights up you have a circuit! You now have a poor man's meter. The next step is to check each little gizmo on the dryer that the wires attach to. All the limits attached to the side of the heat element, the door switch (when door is closed) etc.should have continuity (closed circuit)(the light should come on in the poor man's meter) If you come across an thing near the blower housing with 2 wires attached to it, that is a thermal limit, a safety or a control thermostat (So as not to get a false circuit you need to remove one of the wires to each thing you check) Look for lint buildup or blocked vent going out the house. If everything is good and you have paid the electric bill, then the timer could be bad.

Dryer won't shut off at end of cycle

First of all if you want heat it's probably a burnt up thermal fuse due to lack of air to the dryer. But if the timer is getting stuck you'll just have to replace the timer. Theres no way of fixing the timer just replace it and then replace the thermal fuse (it's located on the back of the dryer) and you should be up and running also have the ducting cleaned out.

Please remember to unplug the dryer before working on it.

Hope this helps

Hoover TCE660 tumble - no heat

Common faults -
1 The heating elements can fail (meaning open circuit)
2 There are cut-outs (T.O.C's) that might need resetting
3 The thermostats (stats) can trip out or burn out (meaning opencircuit)
4 Moderntumble dryers also have sensors and pcb's (Printed circuitboards) thesehave programs that can fail and circuitry although most should produce an errorcode showing you were the fault is.
5 Faultyconnections and burned wires may also be the fault.
