-   Not a solution. There is no information on the reset in the service manual.
Very arrogant response.
As for simple instructions, there aren't any unless you pay the ridiculous price for the Panasonic bulb.-   Ned Limpopo

Turn your television on
Press volume down on the TV
Press the mute button on the remote
Green LED light on power button will flash
-timer now reset (no more warning light)
I called 1800 211 PANA and they walked me through resetting lamp.
press recall and Volume- till solid screen shows, then hit recall till you see codes on top left, then hold volume- and mute(same time) till all codes return to 000000000000, then hit exit. turn off tv and check to see if it works
my PT-50LC14 would not turn on. When you pressed the power button, it would change from a green light to off, then blink yellow twice every few seconds. I tried the "best solution" posted here that said to try to power on the TV and then press the Volume down button on the TV while pressing the Mute button on the Remote (that this would reset the lamp timer). I tried it and it worked. I pressed the power button knowing that it would just turn off but immediately started pressing the Volume down button on the TV several times will simultaneously pressing the Mute button ont the remote several times. The TV then slowly turned back on. Perhaps i need a new bulb but this bought me some time. Thanks!

I have a Panasonic PT-50DL54J DLP projection TV. It suffers from a shut down problem. Shortly after powering up, the TV shuts off, and the front LED flashes red 6 times. At this point, the TV will not turn on. Unplugging the TV seems to reset this and allows me to turn the TV on briefly, then it shuts down again with the flashing light.
