Question about Panasonic PT-50DL54 50" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
Need instructions on how to reset the lamp timer on a panasonic pt-50dl54j tv.
The others are almost right. You first hold down the minus button on your "TV", then at the same time hold down 0 on your remote. Make sure if you have a universal remote to swich it to TV.

press recall and Volume- till solid screen shows, then hit recall till you see codes on top left, then hold volume- and mute(same time) till all codes return to 000000000000, then hit exit. turn off tv and check to see if it works

After replacing the lamp, the picture looked amazing. After trying the best solution to reset the lamp and exiting work mode, the picture now seems grainy. Any suggestions to fix this?

My PT-50LC14 would not turn on. When you pressed the power button, it would change from a green light to off, then blink yellow twice every few seconds. I tried the "best solution" posted here that said to try to power on the TV and then press the Volume down button on the TV while pressing the Mute button on the Remote (that this would reset the lamp timer). I tried it and it worked. I pressed the power button knowing that it would just turn off but immediately started pressing the Volume down button on the TV several times will simultaneously pressing the Mute button ont the remote several times. The TV then slowly turned back on. Perhaps i need a new bulb but this bought me some time. Thanks!

the "Best Solution" works! At least on my PT-50DL54 did it... :-)
Thanks a lot.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
