In my opinion, it sounds like a motherboard issue. The keyboard skips would indicate that the keyboard is not always getting the inofrmation to the CPU. If it freezes, it may be overheating.

May be your headphone is not good, so let's check your headphone. If headphone is good, lets' install newest audio driver for your laptop to see whether the problem is fixed.
have a look at ur keyboard,,,while holding the fn key press the appropriate function key,,these are the f keys across the top of ur keyboard,,look for the picture of ur keyboard or a padlock
You could unlock it from, dell touchpad icon (you will find it beside the clock in the bottom right),after you open it you will find options for external mouse and such that, you will know your way for unlocking your touchpad.
Have you tried System Restore? If not familiar... Start Button ---> Help ---> System Restore ---> "Restore my computer to an earlier date" --> choose an appropriate date, maybe a few days earlier than the problem.
Re-boot and see if works! If you are ceratin that the problem arose simply from hibernating, then restoring should do the trick!
