Question about Soltek SL-KT600-RL Motherboard

2 Answers

SATA I have bought myself a new WD 250g SATA drive and connected it to my motherboard. (Soltek SL-kt600-R) For some reason it doesn't show in the bios or while booting up. The most updated bios that I could find was 2004. There is only one SATA option in my bios. (Onboard SATA-IDE) The only options that I have is "disabled" and "RAID". Once I exit the BIOS, the next screen will display Serial_CH0 and Serial_CH1 - "No device" I have also tried to load the drivers while booting the Windows setup using the F6 function. I can load the SATA drivers from the disk that I got from my packaging, but Windows Setup only displays the "Cannot find harddrive etc....." What can I do? Please. I need help ! Much appreciated.

Is posible that u're motherboard does not support sata II (i presume that the drive is )

if that's the case, u'll have to set the jumpers on the drive to work in sata I mode ....

if u have more sata drives, check if they both are working in the same SATA mode (I or II), some motherboards can't work with both SATA standards at the same time ...

I have a Soltek SL-K8AV2-R1L with one 160 gb sata harddisk (with XP on it), a 40 gb IDE harddisk on IDE channel 0, and two DVD/CD-drives on IDE channel 1. Tried to reinstall XP but XP setup did not...

Welcome to Fixya. The first thing you need to check is if the SATA Hard Disk is detected in Bios. In the system information you will see there the list of the drives including the DVD and the IDE hard drive. You can also check the Boot Sequence or Priority if it is there. Please let me know if you find the SATA hard disk on the list.

Hello.when to install win xp ,not instal and i have problem for sata HDD and i can`t install windos and restart my computer! how solve this problem?? sorry for bad type english language!

You have to go into your bios and make sure your cd drive is the first boot device. If you dont, your motherboard will continue to think it needs to boot from the hard drive.

I miss my suond driver soltek sl-kt600-c1 please help me

Unfortunately the manufacturer of your motherboard, Soltek, went out of business a few years ago so their support website no longer exists.

Searching around Ithink the on board audio chip is VIA VT1616 18-bit 6-channel codec and this is the only Windows XP driver I could find:

Give it a try, If it doesn't work I'd suggest you hunt around the web more to pinpoint your audio chip type and then try and find appropriate drivers for your operating system.

If this has helped then please leave me a rating.

SOYO KT600 Dragon Plus mobo not recognize WD Caviar SATA 1TB HDD

Yuck! Soyo filed for bankruptcy in May and their website is gone!
You need to enable the SATA in the rom bios AND install the drivers for it; but, I hope you have the manual and the CD.

Soltek sl-k8trpro939, error message BIOS not Loaded,

To clear cmos you'll need to remove the cmos battery from the motherboard for about 5-10 seconds then replace. You need your motherboard disk in order to load the bios. If you do not have this disk then you will need to go to the board manufacturer's website & download the bios. Follow the directions they have at the site to make a bootable disk & then boot from this disk. Hope this helps & please remember to rate my answer. Thanks.
