Question about Harman Kardon AVR 7000
I have a avr 7000 whe i try to play any thing any way other then 6 channel0in ,i get only the front left channel at low volume,stereo plays both front ,but the vmax mode just plays left front.i tried various inputs same result also test tone in any other mode exect stereo just left front.I call h/k they told me its the processor.Ok i kind of figurede that.dsp.have any body had th is problem?what part needed top be replaced?
and how muchdid it cost?and where can i order the parts from and how much did they cost?
I might try to fix this 1 myselrfif its just a diode or resister or capacitor.If a ic ill bring it to the shop.Also 4 future info does any1 know a good detailed repair forum?
Hey, I just bought a used avr7000 from auction and it has similar problems that you and others have posted on the net. From the receiver mine has no audio and at times minutes/hours apart sound comes out for a few seconds and then cuts out again. i have yet to try the inputs, you can download the service manual from www.eserviceinfo.com i am of the understanding that the problem is on the DSP board(it has the digital/optical inputs), primarily the 10uf capacitors(about 10) need replacement. Im am yet to try anything, the board looks delicate and would required proper soldering and desoldering tools. from australia
