Question about Kenmore 82822 Electric Dryer
Need help....My dryer was working fine. Everything lights up, but when I press the casual or normal button (all lights, lights upt) but it won't turn on and it beeps. Please advise....thank you.
Try this.. across the top rear of the dryer there is 3 gold screws (1/4" I believe) remove them and pull the top panel back about 6" inches then get a hair-dryer.. when standing back in the front of the machine there is now a black strip of sheetmetal you can now see that is right behind the control panel your pressing all the time.. there is a small gap about 1/2" between the black metal strip and the control panel that allows you to see a few green PC boards from the back side.. put the hair-dryer on high and work it back and forth in that slot pointing it at these boards... this will dry out the moisture back there on the boards and in the buttons themselves.. Give it a few minutes.. the beeping sounds like your timer indicator buzzer button is stuck ON so be sure to dry off the right area where those buttons are also.. once the beeping stops it should work.. Mine has done this 3 times and the hair-dryer has fixed it every time.. What's going on is because the buttons have been pressed so many times they have almost collapsed together and only a little moisture allows them to stick ON.. once the timer button does this you cant start ANY mode until it is cleared.. kinda like holding the channel button down on your remote to the TV and not being able to do anything else until you get it to stop...
