If you want to play music on your dsi you have to convert mp3 files to aac files, the dsi will not play mp3 files, the way to do this is to put the music you want to put onto your dsi into a playlist on itunes, right click and click the link to that says convert to aac, wait for them to convert them, it will say at the top when that is done, then right click the tracks you want to put on your dsi, click where it says show in windows explorer, then when you have all the tracks you want in that folder, then drop and drag the music onto your sd card, then put the card into your dsi, and then the musis should play when you click on sd musil files.

You can put mp3 files on your games card, but you have to put them in the system files folder, i did this for my grandaughter on her ds, all she does is open the system files folder and scrole down the folder to find them to play.

Why cant i download music?

hi there,
unfortunately you cannot download music directly onto the dsi from a webpage as the opera browser does not allow it or does'nt support it if you prefer. You can however put music on an SD card and listen to music that way. The music tracks need to be AAC format and the easiest way to get this format is through itunes or else if you have music in mp3 formay you will need to get an audio converter software to convert them to AAC. Hope this helps

How do you download music on a dsi

Hello sherribaxley

As far as I know, there is no direct way to download music onto your DSi. In order to listen to songs on your DSi, you will first need to copy the songs you want to listen to onto a compatible SD or SDHC card. Not all songs are compatible with the DSi. Some songs may be copy protected and will not work. The DSi is compatible with AAC audio files with a filename extension of .m4a, .mp4, or .3gp.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

- A compatible SD or SDHC Card. The DSi is compatible with SD cards up to 2 GB and SDHC cards up to 32 GB.
- Compatible music files stored on a PC or MAC.
- An SD Card slot in the PC or MAC, or an external reader/writer

WHAT TO DO

1. Insert the card into the slot.
2. Open Windows Explorer (for PC) or Finder (for Mac) and select the drive being used by the card to open it.
3. Open another instance of Windows Explorer or Finder and navigate to where the music is stored.
4. Highlight the desired file(s) and/or folders, copy them, and then paste them into the first instance of Windows Explorer or Finder to create copies on the card.

If you need to convert the format of your music files, there are many freeware applications available to download on the web. I personally would suggest using iTunes, as it has a built in AAC converter.

Hope this helps. Please don't hesitate to contact me should you require any further assistance.

How load music in the sd card to my nintendo dsi

If you want to play music on your dsi you have to convert it to aac files, most music is mp3 files but your dsi wont play mp3 files on your dsi unless to put them on your sd ames sd card, then if you put them in your system folder they open it they will play, but if you want to put them on a sd card they into the side sd slot you have to convert them, the way to do that is to download itunes, unless you allready have it, they play the track or tracks you want on itunes, stop the track and right click the track and click create aac version, wait for it to convert, you will hear a ring when it is done, then right click the converted file and click show in windows explorer, then put your sd card into your pc and drop and drag the songs you have in the windows file, you can put them in a music folder if you like, then when you have all the music you want on the card, put in into the side slot on your dsi then turn it on and open the sd card folder and you will see a music file, then open it a play your music, hope this helps you, cheers Roger M.

Need help puting music on ACC file

To convert music to AAC files you have to download itunes, if you dont allready have it, when you have done that play the songs you want to convert one by one in itunes, has you play them right click on the song, then right click create AAC version, when the track as been converted you will hear a bell sound, then right click again and click show in windows explorer, the songs you convert will go into a windows folder, the best way to do it is when the song goes into the folder drop and drag them onto your sd card, then as the songs go into the folder do the same, you can put them in a music file on your sd card to make it easy to open when in your dsi, when you have all the songs on your sd card, pop it into your dsi, then open the music folder and play your songs, hope this helps you cheers Roger M.

How do i put music of my pc onto sd card for dsi

You have to download itunes if you have not allready go it, you have to put the music you want on your dsi into a playlist on itunes, if you play it on itunes just stop the tracks and right click and pick create aac version, they have to be aac files to play on your dsi, once you have converted the music you want, right click on the tracks you want and pick show in windows explorer, then when you have them in that file, drop and drag the tracks to your sdcard, after you put the card into the pc, you can not put them on your games card because you have to put the card in the side of your dsi to be able to play them, once you have done that, turn on your dsi and open the file for the music and play the songs, if you try and put mp3 files onto the card the dsi will not play them, only if you put them on you games card, and into a system files, then the dsi will play them.

How to download songs from MAc onto DSi?Do I need the SD card? If so, how does the SD card interface with the computer? I can probably figure out how to convert iTune songs to whatever format is supported...

You must have a card reader for your computer in order to add songs to an SD card. You will need an SD card in order to get Music onto your DSi. You can often purchase a USB card reader specifically for an SD card for cheap. Check your local electronics store. All you will need to do then is copy the .MP3 files over to the SD card. It works exactly like a Floppy Disc or a Flash Drive. The DSi should already have the software it needs to run .MP3 files.

I dont know how to put music in the sd card

To add music to your DSi, first you need a spare sd card, and a pc or laptop that can sync with the card. Remember that the DSi only plays AAC type songs, so convert the songs you want to copy-paste on the card. This can be done easily on Itunes on which I use by right-clicking on the song and it will show you there ' convernt to AAC'. After saving the songs , take out the card from the pc or laptop and you can now insert the card in your DSi and play music and enjoy.
