Reset BIOS on HP Pavilion a750w

I have an older computer I am trying to fix. It is HP Pavilion a705w. I am getting a BIOS check sum error stating it is detecting media in the floppy a drive. Think I need to reset the BIOS. Cannot locate it on motherboard. Do you know another way to correct this problem, or how to reset the BIOS?

Fastest way to reset BIOS is to remove the CMOS battery (looks like a large watch battery on Motherboard) for 30 minutes. After you replace the battery, the BIOS should reset to default. If further problems arise involving the BIOS, it's possible the CMOS battery is bad.

HP pavilion A750w starts up, but doesn't seem to go to POST, or at least there is no video once I turn on the machine. Used original, and newer monitors. Replaced onboard video with EVGA GEFORCE FX5500...

Hi there you need to make sure the monitor is properly connected and make sure you install the drivers for the new video card.If you still have the problem you should open the computer and check the memory by taking it out and put in into another memory slot on the motherboard. If you have more than one memory in the computer please take them out one at a time and restart the computer if that does not work you should replace them you new one that is compatible with your computer.

My HP a705w is stuck on the blue logo screen.

1)unplug all the peripherals from the computer, press the power button and hold it,then connect the peripherals.
2)open the tower and try to reseat the ram and the memomy slot.
3)try to go to BIOS screen,if it gets stuck while going to bios, shut down the computer, disconnect the sata cable of the harddrive, try to boot the computer to bios without the hard drive connected,if it goes to bios properly with the harddrive cable disconnected, that means hard drive has gone bad.motherboard is alrite.

HP Pavilion a705w PC Desktop\Ethernet Controller driver

obtain the driver from cd/dvd that was included as you purchased your desktop and try to check if the driver supports with the operating system you are using now. for example the driver available in your cd/dvd is only for windows xp and your operating system you are using now is windows vista of course driver not installed. try to download from internet the driver that are suite to your unit model and current operating system this can fixed your problem or else downgrade your os tha can support the driver that are available from your cd/dvd.
