Question about Infinity BASSLINK Car Subwoofer

1 Answer

Power LED lit, Servo LED lit as well, no output

I have had my basslink for about 2 years in my truck and it has worked great until last week it stopped putting out sound, the power LED is still lit when i power on the truck, but the servo LED is always on when the power is on as well, i adjusted the knobs on the sub and adjusted the levels on my head unit, but the light will not turn off and i am getting no output, nothing has changed as far as my head unit configuration or any of my wiring, any ideas here would be great, thanks!

Basslink has no output, but Power LED and Servo LED always on.

One or more of the DC to DC outputs might be bad. Check the
/- 54v on the main PCB and the /-15v on the switching controller PCB.
Losing one side of the 15v will cause the limit comparator to rail and force the servo protection, even with no input signal.

Servo light

You have an internal problem in the amplifier of the sub woofer box. You need to take it in to be checked at a service center, there are no quick fixes for them. Sorry,

LED lights up but! ???

Sounds like there is a problem with the amp. Try switching the inputs around for that output on the amp. If that does not help, Yes I would have to say that there is a problem with the amp output circuit.

Does the servo led stay on? If so, you might have a fractured solder joint. Inspect the switch control PCB for fractured solder joints and check the Positive and Negative 15v outputs on the same board.

Is the light on the infinity basslink suppose to be red or green

Hello jmw3031,

The Basslink should have both a red power LED and a green servo LED. The red LED should be on when power is applied. The green servo LED should only come on during high-level bass transients. Turn the gain down slightly if it stays on for extended periods.

Hope this helps.
