Well,
2 weeks ago i unplugged my i pod like i always do and it just kept turning on then shutting down and doing the same thing over, then i was going to plug it into my computer, but my computer didnt reconize it all that was on the screen was low battery please wait, but it never did anything for me.
so it would be nice for some help
thnx [ =
Mine actually did this and well just about everything even magically recovered from the dreaded hard drive click of death once or twice??
what i ended up having to do cause itunes would not re restore it was i had to load up a bad rom dump i made burn it to the ipod then when i plugged it in itunes restored it for me
pm me if you need the bad dump i have it somewhere?
Sound like you need a battery replacement on that iPod. The only other possibility is that your motherboard is starting to corrupt and will need to be replaced. If you want some repair options or want to recycle that iPod, let me know.

i replace the battery, did a reset in the diagnostic mode, went to disk mode to do a restore and it requested after the restore to plug in the wall adapter. Ipod still turns on and off. I have a 4gen 40 gb
