Question about Bose Lifestyle 38 DVD Home Entertainment System System
Dvd's are showing in black and white sound is working fine
Make sure that the S-video connection on your Bose Lifestyle system is completed plugged in. If this becomes loose, the systems (black and white DVD's) could occur.

You are running in the wrong format.
If you are in the USA then you need to set the Bose system to NTSC. If you are in another part of the globe then set it to PAL.
The other thing is to make sure your TV is set the correct way as well. The only other thing that will cause this is if you are trying to playback a PAL dvd on an NTSC system (and the other way around of course)
All the options you need will be in the setup menus for both the TV and Bose.
Hope that helps
That should solve your problems.
